Your winds are coming olrac, one thing I learned through kiting is, it takes patience.
I agree 100%!!!
I have always been more of a "right now" kind of person..........
But flying kites has taught me a ton of patience that I have never had before. You aren't in control of the wind, the wind is in control of the wind, and you are just along for the ride. Once I accepted that fact, I started having much more fun while kiting.
It has helped me in other areas of my life away from kiting as well.

Something that tends to make me really question people's intelligence is when they let thier young children run underneath my kite and chase it around. I have to land it and tell them in a very nice way that if the kite was to hit their little one, it would hurt them and possibley injure them. I get odd looks as if I am just talking out of my rear end.

I actually did get the kite to float yesterday but as soon as it started, the lines got so much slack in them, the kite just came down to ground and I had to take the walk of shame.
Thanks for the answers everyone, they are much appreciated!!!
