Could anyone give some feedback on a race'ed Rev 1?

Did I forget to mention that my 20th Anniversary is a Rev I?? :D

I wanted a a True 20th Anniversary Rev, and since it was the 20th Anniversary of the Rev I (not the 1.5) I have a special one signed by the three, Joe, David, and Lolly. and it is framed in Race rods, Awesome Kite.

A lot snappier than the regular I, or the Sedgewick, but as I stated before as the wind picks up a little the leading edge gets a geometric shape to it that is a little unnerving.

The Race Frame works in the Rev I

I have it for my 20th Anniversary and it is quite the different kite

as the wind picks up the leading end will flex into a geometric shape, but the kite seems to become more snappy

I wouldn't fly it in too much wind as the flex can be a little unnerving

So, then, what constitutes a Masterpiece? Is there a minimum number of kites that have to be built to qualify? How about Bazzer's Eagle/Twin Towers kite (a one-off, as far as I know) or his bunny (3 total)? Does it have to be listed on the revkites.com Masterpiece page? (Bazzer's bunny was never listed there, though it's my favorite of his revs). Is there a maximum number after which it's just a fancy production model? (e.g. the Sizzle)

I'm not trying to argue here, I'm just curious!


I think my original intent was the Revolution Masterpiece Series as coordinated and sold by Revolution. But, if you have a one off Rev, that is also a piece of Art, the idea was to 'Register' the kites so that if one were to stray from it's proper home, the Rev community could help it find it's way home.

So if you want to share a picture, I'm sure everyone would like to see it B)

BTW, I can see your personal pic now, don't know why I couldn't before.... hmmm

I "lost" one of my kitebags with 7 or 8 kites in it, including 2 of my Rev IIs for nearly a year. Finally found it while looking for something else.
/sure sign of having too many kites. <_<


You can never have too many kites, geesh, everybody knows that :rolleyes:
