In Topic: Line Equalisation

Hi Bill,

It is said that all four lines should be of equal length but if you get the power pair the same and the brake pair the same then you can get away with an inch or so split between them, any tuning can be carried out on your leaders.

The link to      http://www.revkites....-your-thoughts/

shows the method that a lot of people use!

Bill

I make them all equal, that way you can switch the top and bottom lines periodically to equalize the stretching.

I have tried several times to wind up the way John showed us, for me it takes to much time to sort the lines out on setup. So I have reverted back to my original way of doing it, two lines at a time, it works really well for me, no tangles or sorting out.

Been using 2 winders for months. You couldn't pay me enough to switch to one winder.

In Topic: Quad sticks

Quad sticks maybe just a learning tool. I know it will be easier to set up without the sticks.

Added time to set up Rev with quad sticks, 30 seconds, insert two sticks and your done.  Time saved by not having to stake kite and walking back and forth between kite and stakes, is enormous.

Tons of information on the Quad section of Kitelife too.   http://kitelife.com/.../13-quad-heads/

Here is a book in PDF form that I downloaded that has alot of information too. I put it on my smartphone so I can refer to it anytime.
