thanks for the help. i'll have to give kent (awoc) a call and pick-up a different frame or two for this. i went through the same problem with my 1.5 rev, now i have four 1.5 s and every frame for it. what an addiction.     tim from pittsburgh

Well there ya go.....now you'll have to get another 1 or two....what the hey.....might as well get a couple of 2's as well.
I would love to get a Zen but in the last year I've been on a classic old school dualie kick....but did snag a "mini" Sedgewick 2 with a 2 wrap travel frame very recently....mmmm noodles for dinner again!!!

Rev 1`s rule!!!

I have 3 Rev 1`s and I really like an SLE in my (self)vented Rev 1. Not so much in a regular sail....but still ok. For those I have a 2 wrap and race frame set for one, and a regular 4 wrap in the other.

The stiffness of the SLE (in the vented) in higher winds keeps it manageable for me. In lower to non existant winds I like the flex of the 2 wrap or race frames.

I may be wrong but generally the naysayers to SLE`s....myself included...are directed at 1.5`s. I tried an SLE in both a vented 1.5 and a regular sail and ugh....no thanks!! The larger sail of the 1`s seem more condusive to an SLE imho.

However....don`t stop there....get a 2 wrap or a race frame as well ;)

SO - my question is how the H do you dance without MUSIC?

I guess if all you are trying to do is practice moves, that doesn't make sense.  But if your aim is to fly connected with the kite and the wind, and the world, enjoy and let the little kid out to play, then music is essential to my experience.

OTOH - if your idea of music is not danceable, then it would not add to your experience.

Cool....to each his/her own!!! However.....

1. You don`t see tai chi or chi quiong players using music...it`s a series of moves. Now envision yourself doing improvised tai chi.......except you`re doing it with a kite attached to yourself....outwardly and inwardly...

2. Any music is "danceable"....ya just gotta do the appropriate dance...

3. As I stated in a previous post....John Cage`s 4'33.....dance (with the kite) to the music/rhythm(s) of your environment.

4. What is "music" anyway? I don`t have (or want to know) the answer and I`ve been a professional musican going on 35 yrs.....

Realize the premise of the OP is taking a sideways turn but....silence can be golden.
Mr. Bethell was a mentor to all of us flyers at Vanier Park in Vancouver. My tenure was from 1993 to 1996 when I moved out of the city.... Portable listening units were also slightly more cumbersome than today..... Ray didn't use one...
