About Me

Hello!

My name is Thomas Andreas, from Greece. On September 2013, while looking for a solution on how to research a new turnable base for train seats (that's one of my dream jobs), got distracted by a Richard Feynman speech video, where he told a short story about meeting an artist that was flying kites.

Curiosity created a simple question..."what is going on with kites nowadays anyway?" Discovered a youtube video shortly after, of what appeared to be a Rev 1.5 SLE, flying and enjoying a small crowd at a beach. Never thought I'd see that video. Paused the footage, zoomed in, saw the kite logo. Revolution, from the way this piece was flying, indeed! Searching in the dealeship section, nothing was found here in the country. My dream job can wait, because my dream job became the one of promoting quadline kites in Greece. We contacted Ben and Lolly with our business plan, and now we have a small dealership.

We received our first 15 kites on November. Here in Greece, few people care about outdoor activities nowadays, even fewer know anything about kiting. So, we took upon a new task, one of educating people in this wonderful culture, by promoting kites as a new sport. "Flying a kite", until now, could be an insult here in my country as like saying "doing nothing". Well...if we are to "do nothing", at least let's do it with 100% control!

Thanks for reading my short story, see you in the forums!
