#93512 Cheap but decent kite container.

Posted by Cashmerecasey on 09 September 2013 - 06:06 PM

I just figured I would pass along this cheap somewhat protective container I bought at My local Hobby Lobby, $9.99. It's called a "expandable artwork storage tube" in the store, but fits one rev and extra set of rods with room to spare, and two revs in bags snug but still fits easily. Handles don't fit, but maybe another project can fix that. 3 1/4 diameter and 38' easy on length. I think product description says 37', buts its a little bigger.

bb49, correct you are. I have purchased a b-series mid vent and are waiting for cooperating winds :/ to fly here in my local area.

Thanks for the tips. I will give it a shot. I wasn't really sure if there was any advice that could be given other than just PRACTICE, but I appreciate other options. I am waiting for my second rev to arrive in mail ( like a kid waiting for christmas) which is a b-series mid vent so I should have longer leaders to work with and try extenders. Thanks again all

Thanks for the info so far, it is much appreciated. Oh Oh I'm here in Wenatchee, so getting to see someone fly and different varieties would be cool. I understand that upgrading isn't going to make me a better pilot, I'm just eager to learn more and get some hours behind my belt. I find myself playing meteorologist in my own head, telling myself when it would and wouldn't be a good flying time:) I've made several dead end trips to the park thinking I would have enough wind to fly, even going as far as setting up to realize there isn't enough wind. :( oh well, I just hope I ain't the only new guy who's done this stuff.
