#91538 Stack Colours

Posted by West Australian on 05 February 2013 - 07:24 PM

I have decided to go unmatched colours.

I have the Purple/Black Vent at the Front and Blue/Black at the Rear.

I am putting either a Red/Black or a Lime/Black Mid-Vent in the mid.

The Red/Black is probably a better match, but the Lime/Black really stands out.

I think the Lime/Black will really 'Pop' in the stack and it gives me a brighter colour for single use.

Rev Line up this Morning, Whoot!!

Mild to moderate winds, quite nice.

3 of us there again. Rob set up a 2 Stack for me to try out.

First time flying Quad Stack, I am hooked.

I managed a few tip landings and some multidirectional flight on the stack too.

Also got to try out a Mid Vent B Series and a Race Frame in my B Series STD.

Got about 2.5hrs Air time too. Longest Quad session for me.

Brilliant Day.

Huge thanks to SparkieRob and Kev :)

#91492 Getting back onto Quad

I am keeping up the practice and having a ball.

Yesterday arvo was sweeeeeeet...

the wind stayed between 20-30km/h (12-19mph)

very few drops or gusts. so hard to pack up. I got almost an hour of air-time :)

Got some very nice Inverted Hovers going now.

This morning was a complete wash-out though.

2 very distinct winds competing against each other meant 90-180deg switches in direction.

dropping to almost zero wind for minutes at a time and gusts over 40km/h (25mph)

Oh well, I will call it a practice setup/packup.

Huge thanks to Forum Member SparkieRob for giving me lots of hints, tips and instruction.

And most importantly for giving me the Confidence and Inspiration to learn to fly Quad.  :)  :)  :)

Yeh, The Monday fly was at that park or not at all.

I can drive about 15-20min from home to get a better flying field.

My Fav Flying zone is near my work.

Caught some great winds yesterday afternoon.

10-25km/h (16-40mph) it dropped low a few times and there were some solid gusts.

I flew my Vented B series with 4 Wrap frame on 90# 85" lines.

It was really nice. Flew for about 45min.

It was very hard to pack up and go home.

I was really nailing my upright and sideways hover. And starting to get the hang of the diagonals.

Controlled Sliding in both positions and directions.

Sweet tip landings, hoping fairly neatly from one to the other.

Awesome day. :)

#91415 Getting back onto Quad

Hi All,

Ive been flying for about 25 years as a hobby.

Always taken it easy.

I fly Single, Dual and Quad.

I have a Pair of B Series Kites that have seen only a few hours use in the years I have had them.

Yesterday I met up with SparkieRob from this forum.

He helped me set up and gave me heaps of tips.

(Thanks Dude)

Now I am looking forward to getting my Rev's out more often.

Thanks for reading my story.
