#96527 Short line flying

Posted by RevWizard on 25 July 2015 - 09:48 AM

Though I may be wrong, I don't think there are any new Bazzer Eyes available at this time. Bazzer  has made batches at random over the years. When or if more will be made, I don't have a clue.

You might find some second-hand ones available if you ask around.

#96516 Short line flying

Hi guys , so I'm going to make myself some new shorter line sets I understand the window will decrease and the reaction time will too but will the input movements increase, decrease or stay the same ? My first jump will be from standard length to around 30 foot and what would the shortest I should go for a 1995 exp ?

Sorry, but the EXP was first made in 1998 not 1995.

#96488 120 ft team standard flight length ....?

Posted by RevWizard on 19 July 2015 - 09:48 AM

If I recall correctly, The Decorators established in the early 90s that 120ft was the ideal line length for quadline team flying.
From then most team followed this as a standard probably so that multiple teams could fly together.

That 5 panel version of the REV 1.5 EXP was made between 1998 thru 2006.
Check this out http://johnnmitchell...story/r1p5.html

You might be able to pinpoint the year a bit closer by the colors.

Note that the center panel is smaller then the 1997 Rev 1.5.

#96065 SUL as my first Rev?

Posted by RevWizard on 13 February 2015 - 02:53 PM

You should have seen me first times around in 1990.

I had no one to teach me anywhere near by.

No forum to learn from.

The VHS video I had was in NTSC format and I only had PAL capabilities.

I was a disaster for a few weeks, but then I got it.

If I use a stake, it is usually a tent stake that is about as round as very large nail.
I prefer to leave my REV un-staked to lessen personal injuries.

First, Welcome to the Forum!

I think we all can assist you with you disability.

I personally am not a doctor or therapist. I am just a REV flier with a bit of experience.

Let us start with these three questions:

- How much movement do you have in your right wrist?

- Do you have any degree of movement right and left when your hand is flat in the horizontal?

- Can you hold the grip solidly even when lines pull a bit?

It would not be an EXP if it was made in 1995.
The EXP series came out first a few years later in 1998.

The original REV 1.5 does look similar to the first EXP except for the center panel.

#95807 Ben's Farewell

Posted by RevWizard on 16 December 2014 - 06:38 PM

Ben is a real kite friend, and friend who will always remain a friend.
If I recall correctly Ben took on his post at Revolution around 2004 which gives him about 10 years on the job. His accomplishments there were superb.
I am starting a list here of some of the accomplishments which I hope you all will add to:
- He brought out the race rod, green race rod, silver bullet rod and the new diamond rod.
- He brought out the Rev 1.5 B series, which was followed by the B-Pro from Bazzer
- He brought out the Rev 1.5 New York Minute that he designed.
- He brought out the B2 (new REV II).
- He brought out the ZEN made by Bazzer.
- He recovered the Masterpiece series adding a long list of kite makers.
- He brought about the printed Revolution 1.5s.
- He traveled continuously to Kite festivals promoting the Revolution kite despite a continuous health issue.
- He listened to other REV fliers about what they wanted and how he could help them.
So, come on everyone please add to our great friends accomplishments while at Revolution.
