About Me
I was born in 1979 and have been flying kites since 2002. But I was forced to take a break from flying in 2010, because I was involved in a violent traffic accident where I was badly injured. However I decided that I would start again when I had recovered from the accident. In december 2011 i flow a kite again, it was nice to fly again, even as i feels like you have to learn every thing from scratch again.
The Accident changed my life in many ways, especially as I still suffer from damage to the spine and shoulder and on top of it, i lost my left eye. This made it impossible for me to work any more, so I got an early retirement. There is not the thing i the world I would give to have a normal life again to have avoided the accident in the first place.
But life goes on, and I'm just glad I survived, even though many simple things takes longer to do now and I can't do much before my body says stop. If I press on, I am in a lot of pain next day and sometimes I am not able to get out of bed. But kite flying brings happiness and joy back into my life.
Because of the accident i had to change some of my kites, I am unable to fly kites which pulls much in my arms and back, so today i fly 2 line trick kites and 4 line revolution.
My favorite brand of kites are Benson Kites. They make real nice kites, for all types of wind. They fly very well and can make all the tricks. A great detail by Benson kites is that you can chose the color layout of the kites, so you get a 100% personal kite.
Time is of no importance...
Only life is important...
