Hi, my advice after having bought the same kite last month,

1 Watch the dvd that comes with the kite
2 Practice setting up and packing away without flying, it will save time and frustration in the long run.
3 Do the basics again and again and again, just going up and down, spins, hovers and side slides will give you confidence.
4 Pick your winds for the brave move to inverted hovers
5 Plenty of tunes and sunglasses
6 Enjoy

over the last three weeks i have flown nearly every day for 4 hours each time, hence the tunes and am now confident in most moves, although it doesn't look as good as some of the more experienced flyers I am getting so much fun out of flying again and now understand why they call it "The Dark Side", my next move is to try in the water.

Hope this helps.

Thanks again for all of your advice, blows me away how kind you all have been and am confident that any problems I have in the future someone will be there, as will I if I can in the future.

I have taken the advice and watched the vids, and one thing I have learned is that spending time just winding and unwinding over and over now saves me loads of time and even more frustration, and I get more quality flying time and am loving it.

Thanks again

Here in sunny west Wales we are lucky enough to be surrounded by great places to fly, if any one here on holiday and it's a great place, try freshwater west, where Harry potter was filmed, or more north of the county try Newgate or broad haven and then theres white sands by St David's.
If the beaches are too crowded then theirs always the old race course in Haverfordwest.

Oh and if you do come on holiday to sunny Pembrokeshire drop me a post as I think I'm the only Rev flyer around, don't get your hopes up only be flying for a couple of days so will be probably gleening as much help and advice from you.

Just posted this in another discussion but thought i would let those of you helped me make the best decision ever know.
Ok got my first rev (b series mid vent) on Wednesday and typically weather the worst we've had in weeks, itching to get out but to no avail, did spend some time putting it together in the house and watching the DVD and watching Youtube feeling sorry for myself. woke up early the next morning and looking out of the window, hurray the sun is shining, so with a spring in my step was out of the house and off to usual flying field only to find 'NO WIND' AAArrggghhh.

Again spent at least an hour setting up lines and putting everything together, still no wind, change the frame for practice, then, just i am about to pack up and go home it happens, just enough wind to get into the air and stay there, after all of the advice I've had from the forum i practice the basics again and again really slowly, take of, land, take off over and over. before you know it i am hovering, flying reverse, tight turns. after an hour i have to stop as i have cramp in my face from smiling so much, this kite is amazing. 15 min later I'm at the beach where the wind is stronger, so change frame again and agin my face is going into spasms cos now I'm doing tip touches and drawing in a crowd.

flew again today for a couple of hours in really good winds trying to make it all look smoother especially side slides, but could really do with some more advice especially with flying up side down it all seems abnormal and line management, seems to take an age to sort out lines so not twisted if someone can point me in the direction would really be great.

i can't believe how much fun I'm having, to have so much control is amazing.
