About Me
Hello Bryan from Mauritius Island (for those never heard of it: picture) a tiny portion of land in the Indian Ocean with all year round sea breeze. Anyway it's surrounded by sea lol.
Besides kites i have Landscape photography as hobby and for those interested, you can check my portfolio here
After several dual lines, fell on some videos of Revolution kites and this hooked me. Bought my first kite the Supersonic from a deal and now have many in the wishlist
Joined the forum after it has been recommended by one of the Best Quad flyer on Earth and has been welcome warmly here..so now this is my new home

Hey Francis
Congrats for the kite and now WARM Welcome to the Dark Side
Here mail services apart DHL, UPS, FEDEX, etc will not deliver to your door if the package is large and require you to pick it up at the post.
Each kite i have been collecting, whether my Revs or any duals, i could not wait to get home to see them lol
As soon as i get into the car, they were out of the box/tubes and the perfume of the new crispy ripstop sails LOL
I even tried getting a Rev assembled one day and then realized i was in the car hahahaha
So i understand the happiness you are talking about.
Have great fun and remember....thing just got started for you and your credit card lol

If you are having trouble launching it with the LE up, it means that you have too much brake. You're right here Flippa.
Now regarding leaders, you will get LOADS of infos over the forum..just browse the numerous discussion about this.
To resume it all, put some long leader of 15-17cms on top with knots every 2cms and starting about 10cms from handles to end. Bottom leaders now, just 4-5cms long with 2 knots on mine.
Now just try it different settings with the top leaders until you can launch. But in good winds, you will find that having longer top leaders give you more fine control and more smooth flying (just what i noticed from my flying style)
Good winds to you

Hold one to the line Steve..Don't know you and nothing about you but life comes as it is..just take it like a day without wind
A day we want to forget and dream of better smooth winds..
Thanks the all mighty you are still here and able to see the sun rise everyday...Life isn't worth living if troubles don't get on our way..this is what makes us build new paths and gets our feet straonger each day we take those paths...
May all the good winds of life be with you
From far far away Mauritius Island

Hi Flippa,
Welcome to the forum and to the Dark Side of flying
and congrats for the purchase.
1.5sle Vented should be a smooth kite for learning in the winds you described.
Launching upright get easier with thumbs completely back and sharp tug on both arms bringing them almost towards the chest.
Yes launching inverted is easier and you will find this the only launch position with time and practice.
There are lots of tutorials on the forum here and on our sister site kitelife.com where JB has great tutorials.
Congrats to the little new comer too
Have fun and may the sweet winds am getting from Mauritius gets to you
