About Me

My name is Spence Watson. You may call me Spence, Watty, Watson, Watty the Almighty, or any combination of the above. I've been flying kites since August 2005. I first learned on revs, then on dualies. I flew dualies for one year, then bought a rev, and flew both for a year, then sold my dualies to focus on quads. I started flying revs indoors in August 2007, and it is now my winter sport.
Every year, I attend WSIKF in Long Beach, WA because it is where my love for revs started, and I could not imagine missing it. If you ever wish to fly with me, that would be the place to do it. I do compete in quad line competitions, but not very seriously. I am a soul flyer, just because I am too lazy to come up with choreography.
I am the Managing Editor of Kitelife Magazine, an alternate member of team iQuad, and co-founder of FlyForm.

May Rev Clinic (Long Beach, WA)

Hey everyone,

Just want to mention that as of right now, there are still 5 spots open for the Rev Clinic on May 4-5 in Long Beach, WA.

A bonus clinic for 2013, this event is open to all skill levels, Novice through Master quad line fliers... A friendly and interactive "Rev 101" that is guaranteed to take months off your learning curve over just 2-3 days on the beautiful Northwest coast.

Led by 10-time national multiline champion John Barresi and with full participation from iQuad teammate and master Rev pilot Spence Watson, instruction will happily be provided to anyone with a quad line kite that has the essential quad line flight characteristics such as hovering, reverse, forward and sideways flight... Revs are favored for their superior performance and control, but we're interested to help anyone with a quad line kite.
