My wife laughed when I told her I wanted another Rev. She said she had been waiting since my first flight with the EXP for me to bring up the subject. Last Friday I talked to Theresa and ordered a full vent B series. Lime and black. It came in today. Wow What a great looking kite. I can't wait to get lines attached. I know I'm not good enough yet but being vented should give me more days of flying. Well at least that's my plan anyways.

Broke my Rev

It was bound to happen I guess. The winds were fairly steady with gusts that were unpredictable at best. I had my hardest crash yet and after checking the kite and launching again I noticed I could hear a squeak. At first I didn't think much of it due to the geese and seagulls all around me.Then the right wing folded in on itself and the kite did a crazy death flop to the ground. Not knowing what was going on I just let go of the handles and let gravity take over. After straightening the bridal I tried to put the right spar back into the mid section. It took me a few minutes to figure out why I couldn't get them together. The male ferrule had slipped all the way into the mid section.I have already talked to Theresa and if I cant get this one out I will have to order one.

Cleaning a Rev

Im hooked. Today was the fourth day I was able to fly.I acutually spent more time flying than I did crashing. Not that my flying was anything special but it sure feels good to fly left and right when I want to.Throw a few left and right hand spins in and not crash. That being said it wasnt a total crash less day. It just so happens that the field I was playing around in is also the part time home to geese. You can stop giggeling now if you can see where this is going. So after breaking down I was looking over my kite to make sure I had not done any dammage. I didnt find any dammage but did find goose poop on the leading edge and on the lower ends of the up rights. It needs to come off.Is there anything special I should do? Im thinking of taking a wash cloth and warm water to it.

First flight
24 February 2011 - 07:42 PM
Hi guys, after a summer of watching an ole guy fly a Rev I finally pulled the trigger and picked up an EXP. Yesterday was my first flight. What a blast. The winds were anything but steady and with my graceful flying style I mastered the walk of shame in one outing. Who would have thought four lines could get that tangeld? I cant wait for Sunday so I can get out and fly again.
