In Topic: Training a new helper

03 June 2010 - 01:30 PM

Wow...winter is actually fully over up here in Alaska. It's my time to get a new kite "helper" and train them in the ways of flying kites in our odd Alaska weather.

The clip here is only a minute long. It is me showing the new helper how to properly move a rev over when the wind changes direction, as it often does here this time of year...

For some reason, youtube scrunched this into 4:3 instead of widescreen, so it looks a bit funky. Dur to the fact that I had to film it by putting the camera on the hood of my truck, it's not all that easy to see, so some of you might wanna do fullscreen to see it.

Ben, if yer reading this, you thought we were "different" ... this pretty well gives it the "different" stamp for us.

I figured I'd better make my own account so that people knew who was talking....

Yes...that is my pet Duck there. Hard to see if you don't look close. She's about 3 weeks old there.
