BKF Custom Pics of the Finished Kites!!!

20 July 2009 - 09:39 PM

Lolly sent these pics of some of our BKF Custom Rev 1.5's.

It is killing me that I have to wait two more day to see these kites!

Did they ship yet?? :)

Thanks again to Lolly, Ben and the rest of the Rev Crew for working overtime to make this all happen!

Four days and counting...

Berkeley 1.5 Customs / Pre-order Info

12 July 2009 - 08:02 AM

OK, Here goes...

You can now place Pre-Orders for our amazing 2009 Custom BKF 1.5 Revs at www.HighlineKites.com.

Got to the Store and select "New Items," you should be in the right spot. I am having a little trouble getting the pics up on my site as my web master who usually does this for me and he is out of town for a week. Until middle of the week or so photos of all the kites can be viewed www.KitesinBerkeley.com.

If you pre-order it is important that you view the images at KitesinBerkeley in order to see the names we have given each or our designs. Because there are no images yet in my store, you will need to order by design name in order to make sure you get the kite that you want.

Here are the names for each of our designs for reference:

  • Aquarium  One
  • Aquarium  Two
  • Earth One
  • Earth Two
  • Lava  Rock Red
  • Lava  Rock Gold
  • Celtic  RB Hands
We have seven custom designs in total and they can be ordered as "Kite & Bag Only" or "Kite, Bag, Grips, & DVD).
Vented are also available. There are no more than two of each deigns. 12 Kites total.

Though the images are on the forum in my prior post I don't think my file names which identified each design came through.
If any one here can help post the images with the file names associated with them here on the forum, I am sure that would be helpful to many. For now, photos can be viewed at www.KitesinBerkekey.com. My thanks to them for their help with this.

Even if you do not plan to purchase one of these customs, please take a second or two to let us know which one(s) you like the best.
I have my favorites but it would be fun to hear from others.

Thanks again,

I hope to see many of you in two weeks!
Orders can of course also be place by telephone.

Basic Order Info is Here:

  $299.00 for the package
$275.00 Kite Only (yep it came down $4, how did that happen?)

Kite Frame is your choice. 2, 3, 4 Wrap or SLE.

Fliers taking delivery of their kites at the BKF will get first delivery.
If all 12 kites are gone by Sunday the 26, mail orders will be shipped  within 2-3 weeks. Vented versions will be available but will also ship  within 2-3 weeks.

We are trying to keep this as fair to  everyone as possible. Per-Orders will all be filled, but is seems fair  to us that if you are making the trip to our BKF you should get first  delivery. We also don't want raise excitement and then let folks down  by having nothing left to show at the BKF.
  :)

Rev Customs @ Berkeley Kite Fest '09

This  is Tom McAlister from Highline Kites and the Berkeley Kite Festival. Though I  am not a regular contributor here, Lolly from the factory suggested that let  you in on a fantastic surprise we have planned. A limited run of  BKF  Custom Rev 1.5 SLE's. It is a project that I have wanted to do for a long time  and I am extremely excited about it.

These  kites are unlike any kites ever  seen anywhere, and I hope you will like them as much as I do.

Last  January, I had a proposition for Ben and Lolly. "Hey guys," I said, "How about  if I design some custom cloth for a set of very limited BKF custom Revs." They  said, "Tom, if you want to get us some great looking cloth, We'll build you  some great looking kites." That was all the motivation I needed.

Six  months later, after slowly improving my graphic skills and even  more slowly learning the technical side about how to have fabric printed, I can  show you a preview of this very limited run of BKF custom Revs. The fabric  should arrive at the factory today and there is only enough to cloth to make a  few kites. I wish I had printed more. Please keep in mind that the images here  are mockups and not photos of the finished kites.

Hope  you all are having a great summer and I hope to see many of you in Berkeley  in three weeks.

        Smooth  Winds,

        Tom  McAlister

        P.S.

We  will be taking pre-orders on these kites on our web site in a few days. These  kites are not on our site now but we figured you guys should be the first to  know.

If I have done this correctly there should be seven jpgs inluded.
