As I don't have a gadget for telling me the wind speed, I was wondering if there are any tricks to judging this. My LPG 85' lines started whistling when I was flying in the gusty winds yesterday. What wind speed does this normally occur at? Or am I the only flier with musical lines! :lol:


It is hard to tell wind speed by the sound of the lines.  The angle of the attack etc.

I want a Zen in my bag for two reasons. I have a full schedule and I often I can't choose when I fly.

Second reason is to keep the winds for dropping to zero. Ever notice how if you pull a Non Vented out the winds pick up. The Zen would be perfect keeping away low winds.

One last thing, I often feel like two lines guys are mocking me when I pack up and go home because of very low winds.

WOW!!! I think I need a slow motion replay, amazing how fast his hands are moving to perform what seems like a simple maneuver.

Anything you are after? We are flying this weekend and will have two video cameras, if you want something special ask and we'll see what we can do.


For my skill level I was looking at some more of the simple movements. A few examples:
Kite gaining altitude while spinning
bicycle
snap turns
Diagonal flight

Maybe those aren't simple. I know a lot of these will come with skill but some of these moves I don't understand what would even be required to do the move.
