I hit a seagull once too. It really was an accident. But after that I sometimes aimed... Never hit one again. BTW why fly seagulls out to sea? Well if they would stay in the bay they would be called bagels...
Hope I can still post after that on:innocent:

They have posted a rules page - http://www.sandyhook...ach_safety.html

"No kite flying in the guarded areas or near bird nesting areas."
I flew at Sandy Hook several Saturdays and Sundays after Labor Day, on North Beach, because it is the widest beach on the Hook. I spoke with a Ranger about it the first time, and he said it was no big deal in the off season, and even said it was a judgment call in the high season.

I'm soo glad I am not on the east coast. If it is not the people then it is the birds you have to watch out for. How come the kite flyers always get the short end of the stick? Why don't the make a rule that says: You can fly your kite quietly but you can't bring your screaming obnoxious kids that disturb everybody's peace and quite???

I then made-up my mind to "delete" (without reading) the entire stream... and go for bust! ...and I'm so GLAD I did!

Between John and Felix... they made ALL of us, no matter how mega-fly experienced, challenge our doubts, and Just Do It! Though I didn't understand all the forum tech stuff, THEY knew what had to be done and were more than ready for it. The attempt was so totally organized, with Felix's preplanning and John's calm voice directing us, and many of the Greatest Skilled Rev'ers unselfishly standing-out to assist us... we did it! We achieved not only the record of 64, but achieved something much more important to me... a feeling of Self-achievement and Team Camaraderie.

It was totally AWESOME! …Words cannot express!

THANKS to ALL of YOU who made this possible for US! Posted Image

Hear Hear! Thanks for taking the time to write down my precise thoughts on that:blue-love:

I am sooo looking forward to seeing everyone from out of town, from across the country and from across the pond.

You might meet my dad. From waaayyy across the pond in Germany. His first first kitfestival with age 82! Haven't posted much but I'm exited anyway. BTW everybody is talking about rum and tequilla... I started to cook my own beer 6 weeks ago. Nothing extraordinary yet but every batch was better that Budwiser. Does that count too? See you Thursday PM:)
