Denny...
I can't believe we haven't met before. I used to own a kiteshop in Cocoa a few years back, and was always on the beach in Cape Canaveral and Lori Wilson..
I still have family up that way, and occasionally head up there on the weekends... I may have to bring some kites up next time and head to the beach.
John.

Take Paul up on his offer... its WAY better to crash spectacularly with his kites..
I wasn't with WoW very long, but I remember a time when Paul let me try out one of his kites, and I nearly took out all of the top leadership of WoW..
But all Paul did was grin and gently took the handles from my hand...

If your on the east coast of Florida you should stop by Cocoa Beach. There is a parking lot right at 16th street. Lots of kite surfers as well as a very very friendly kiting beach.
Next time your in Cocoa Beach, go up a bit north to Cape Canaveral... its less crowded, and it has the same wind in the afternoon..

Sorry it took so long to answer. That pic is of the palmetto park beach. I fly just south of where that pic was taken. Was there all day Last Saturday. 80 degrees and sunny.
Thanks for the info. I'm in Boynton Beach, and have been trying to find a beach that is wide enough... seems the only beaches here are tiny.
I found a neat park in West Palm right on the intercoastal that has a huge field... Been thinking of flying there during my lunch time, but haven't gotten to yet.
Good to see I'm not alone in this area.
