Have you thought about doing a flight blog over on the Rev forum? You can set one up for free, and I think it'd be a great inspiration for others.

Think about length of lines vs size of "canvas"... Longer lines means a larger space in which to fly. ![]()

I feel the same... I won't be able to fly in the record attempt, as I'll likely be doing much of the calling.
Impossible to track 99 kites on top of my own, I top out around 50. ![]()

Your energy practically overflows your posts, keep doing what you're doing and have fun. ![]()
If you haven't found this already, may help some with the training process...

Best thing, connecting with another flier - it's always a huge help.
Good winds!

Fogive me but is that the same as the tape you can use to repair a hole or tear in a sail? And can this be gotten from a kite shop?
Repair tape is generally "Tedlar" (like transparent ripstop tape), totally different animal than Insignia (completely opaque). ![]()

Good advice all. ![]()
The payoff will really come for those who arrive on Monday or Tuesday, and have a chance to slip into groups early on.
The Northwest Rev fliers are VERY well versed in team flying, we have several callers, and there is lots to be learned for the early birds. ![]()

Talk about HUMID! Singapore was crazy, like all of my skin turned into a faucet... It was all I could do finish that performance, thighs and hamstrings were SINGING for relief halfway through.
I absolutely LOVE it, yes please, may I have another? <grin>
Ian and Rob, you guys coming to the Redcliffe Kite Festival in May, near Brisbane?
A full iQuad six will in attendance, would love to see you there. ![]()

One of my favorite Rev weirdos, I love seeing you try stuff "just because".
Thanks Darryl, it's an inspiration imho. ![]()

5x5 entry/exit is an interesting proposal, we could try to do some dry runs at events between now and WSIKF, as well as some drills early in the week... I understand the need for something like this, and it sounds very doable.
Basically, we'd set up the 10x10 in quarters... Top right 25 might go up first, top left 25 next, bottom right 25, and finally the bottom left 25.
As long as we have 1/2 dozen or more non-flying runners/helpers on the ground, seems to me it would likely take an average of 4-8 minutes to get each pack of 25 into the air barring any major complications... One hurdle to mindful of, this also means the first 25 will be holding it together for about 15-20 minutes while everyone else gets into position.
Sorry, mostly thinking out loud... Would love to hear more feedback on this.

No changes have been made to the colorizer, trick is that it's using Flash... It's a self-contained file functionally separate from the website, that relies on Flash Player.
Eventually it needs to be rewritten in HTML5 (not mainstream at the time the colorizer was made), but for now, all I can suggest is making sure your Flash plugin is up to date.

Otherwise, moving at a slower and more reliable pace may help it keep up with you.

Hi all, I've posted this in a couple of other venues, and realized that I'd forgotten to share it here. ![]()
If it will stop raining here in Portland and the sun comes out, I'll work on a proper introduction video but for now please take a moment to read our project statement at the link below... If you're in a position to help, it would certainly be appreciated and will further our kite promotion and education efforts in the future, something that I'm sure will be useful to the Rev (and kite) community at large.
Thanks for your ear, and your ongoing support! ![]()
