#70510 Team4mation on BBC TV

Posted by Murph on 27 June 2010 - 01:41 PM

Well I caught 'Countryfile' on the beeb earlier this evening.

Yes lots of kites, some glimpses of Revs 'here and there'.

But as for Team4mation (sorry Bri and the lads) blink and you'll miss it. Always the way...the best stuff to be found on the cutting room floor.
Arrrghh pity....was soo looking forward to it.

Anyways here we go...

Just reading back over that thread.....thought best to start a fresh thread considering.

....it will be on BBCs I Player.Maybe a link can do the trick once the program has been broadcast.

Good stuff...more Revs on the telly

For those in the UK its Sunday 27th June 18:00 (1 Hour)....the blurb (well the bit about kites that is)
Katie Knapman joins enthusiasts from all over the world who are converging on the Wirral to celebrate the joy of kite-flying."
Only problem being that iPlayer is location specific. When viewed outside the Britain we get "Currently BBC iPlayer TV programmes are available to play in the UK only" or "Not available in your area"

I've set the DVR, I'll stick it on youtube or vimeo, and include a link to it here, so we can all see yous in action.

BTW always wondered about that Countryfile logo.....that is a kite fluttering around it in the titles?! I never seen any kiting on it before.

Ah man thanks for those great responses and advice too.

As for that day.....Am I glad I smuggled a kite or two out with (when she didn't notice) us for a picnic down at the lake. Had one of those moments....As we walked down the beach you could feel that slight onshore breeze, the sun beating down and then I caught sight of that little pond with sand split on the other side. Well I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Couldn't have been a more ideal setup. Quite simply THE nicest place I've ever flown in. Kinda makes up for those dreadful wet cold days that we've to put up with....especially in this part of the world

Yeah Martin....Rain!? we're certainly known for it, aren't we. As for the inverted slide circle, I don't think I'll ever get it right. It sort of reminds me of attempting to draw a circle freehanded, always end up rushing it and then the ends don't meet

Ben...you are welcome to come over and play anytime. And that goes for anyone else passing through or coming to Ireland too. I'd love to get to fly with a few of you Rev-vers on here. Look me if you do.

That song...one that I found in one of my Youtube kite RSS feeds. Since it had kite in the title 'Westminster ft City for kites 'Particles'. Now did a bit of research and haven't come up with much only thing is that I think they are from Montreal...anyone shed anymore light?! Thought it was a nice song....does anyone else do what I what do, if I hear a song that I find suitably 'kite'ish' I'll stick it in the 'for kite vid' folder
Posted Image Now I don't actually listen to the music when flying, its just later when I'm sticking the bits together, mixing and matching. Any other kite videographers then....

Anyways I'm really delighted you all took the time to view my attempts at a Rev video.

Much appreciated,
