I've heard of many of the above fixes, can't attest to freezing rods or using nail polish remover (must keep them in mind though) ...but I can say that I've gone down the boil water route and it worked for me that time.
Certainly concur as far as end caps go, they can be in for a bit of abuse (those unintentional hard landings) especially when learning to get to grips with a Rev and thereafter when 'walking the Rev', dragging tips across surfaces and other tricks that involve contact with the ground ...luckily enough I've not had any connectors (I'd imagine others chiming in will have) split on my Revs, touch wood Depending on what surface you fly on, hard pact and course surfaces obviously you'll be risking grinding those end caps, but also breaking rods, puncturing sails and damaging leading edges dacron.
Bridle wear?! Yeah for sure you'll get a lot of wear on them, from both friction and stretch. One of those inescapable situations if you fly your kite a lot, exaggerated if you fly in stronger wind conditions. Yep I've tied knots whilst out on the beach (anything than returning all the way back to car to get another kite) a good field fix if you suffer a bridle break but you will most probably notice a slightly unbalance in the kite by tying a knot in one corner of the bridle, not hugely but probably enough to notice a difference in flight characteristics ...on some of my Revs I've made small pigtails that interface between the connectors and the bridle itself (as I've noticed over the years this is where most wear occurs), only problem is that it adds that small amount to the bridle length, but I usually compensate for this as I make my own bridles up.
As for the fraying of the dacron on the LE ...most here you'll find just run the flame from a cigarette lighter close to the frayed edge, in doing so seals and stops it fraying anymore. Goes without saying remove the rod before trying this

Had the opportunity to experience buggying with my own PB 2-4 and a friends buggy on a beach in Kerry, Ireland last year. Think it must've been my third go on a buggy ever. We had spent the previous day on the beach waiting for rain to stop and then in light winds on a JoJo foil, mostly rolling over my lines, wrapping them up around the rear axle of the buggy (is this the equivalent of the 'walk of shame' but on 3 wheels ...has it got a name!? LOL)
But the next day, moving to another beach with onshore winds of 20mph ...was great to finally get moving at any pace (this time using the Rev), but it has to be said, crusing down the beach in a kite buggy is something every kiter should experience, at least once ...and under the power of a Rev too ...H-E-A-V-E-N !!!
Nice one Ben! I dare say ...using the go-pro, its a feather weight, its fish eye lens, really make it a viable combination with the 'Wand'.
Actually tried something kinda along those lines ...when I had that spark of inspiration at Portsmouth kite festival. Only thing, my camera (Zi8), has quite a tight angled lens so it was necessary to use all three SLE rods connected up (Rev PB 2-4) to get sufficient distance between the camera and the kiters below. So it was me holding the SLE with the camera on the other end, something like a boom mike ...trying to hold it steady enough to get some usable shots. Its surprising how quick, a 3.8oz (110g) camera on the end of a 10-foot carbon pole, can start to feel like ton weight LOL

I had seen fellow forum members talking about it so I grabbed it and stuck it on youtube, just out of convenience sake. Subject matter had nothing whatsoever to do with kites but was pretty cool to see Revs on TV, bonus that they were being flown by a few familiar to those that frequent the Rev forum here.
I've family moving to New York over the next while so it'd be really nice to get the opportunity to get to fly with local flyers i.e. Rev Riders at Liberty State Park, with that incredible backdrop in the distance.
Talk about a 'franken-kite' ...so at the moment my leading edge is made up of a 3,4 & 2 wraps and race rods for the downspars. Its just all those odd spars remaining from sets I've broken over the years.
The shame of it ...my frame tips the scales at 108g ...all I'm saying is thank god for those two race rods I've not broken yet.
Alls not bad sometimes I even manage to leave the house with matching shoes ..matching socks thats another matter altogether hehe!

As has been said already the older Revs used rubber o-rings or cut off rubber hose, have had to replace them before on a very very old Rev and then again on a printed Rev that arrive without any o-rings on.
So if you've ever ripped out kitchen cabinets from your house, you'll have noticed the use of these small 'hinge hole cover caps' ...the ones on our cabinets were mahogany colored but if that doesn' fit your look, eBay has them in black too. You can use either the cap (drill a hole in them) or the plug end (which has a hole in it already.
BTW I for one never tire of hearing all those old stories of what kite makers had to 'make do' with, of those bits'n'bobs they found around the house, workshop, or even eye'ing up bits from their kids toys ...the time before we had all these off the shelf parts to hand.
Looks like a couple of false starts got in there. Unless someone did want a placemark in Mali, and another off the coast of Liberia, they might be removed. (edit) Looks like someone has tidied them up.
