The Ten Quadmandments :)

Thou Shalt Not Launch, without looking properly first.

Thy should remove Thy Stake at all times, when not in use

Concentrate on your own kite, not anyone else's

Two reasons: 1) If you look at all the other kites in the sky making a pretty picture, you are not concentrating on your own and it is likely to 'wander' off of it's own accord... ;) You will see the pretty pictures later, on photos or video.
2) When you're in a team whose kites are all identical, it's easy to forget which kite you are flying (easy in the Squad.. "it's the blue one") and then it's back to reason 1)

How about also:

Don't panic!

If in doubt, stay where you are in the sky, and await further instructions. Team flying should be fun :) Mistakes happen for many reasons, just relax and listen to the caller, they have the experience to get you out of any 'birds nest' you might find yourself in.

I'm looking at a good deal on the train.. Watford to Ainsdale return 44.50, roughly 3.5 - 4 hours journey. Would just make that time in the car, on a good day.. but would cost me more in petrol.. so is definitely worth considering...

I believed the UK's smallest pub to be the Nutshell in Bury St Edmunds, but I might have to come to Ainsdale to check out your claim!

haha, love your new icon Stephen :-)

Oh, and don't forget to mention we worked Luca really hard over the weekend.. even sending him on a mission to the Red Bull car to get in supplies for the team! :P and acting as 'lookout' at the airport (when they wouldn't let him in the bar area that we erm, occupied for over an hour while waiting for our transport!) Child labour, ha!

Well, it looks like arrangements have already been amended:

Enjoy your time in the arena chaps! and don't forget to support STACK :) they are trying to bring people together not 'factionalise' groups...

#57809 Line winding with minimal twists/tangles, iQuad style...

Perfect description JB, this is what I have been doing for years, never got on with the winding from handles to kite method, best to do it with tension on the lines (kite to staked handles) as in your method.

Yep we intend to work him hard :) have fun at Bristol no more dirty words   B)

Someone spill the beans... what word did you spell? (you can PM me if it's really too rude to write on a public forum.. LOL.. was it too rude to spell in the sky really?..) :blushing:

Another highlight for me was the 20 person team on Monday.

Shame not to have been there longer but we decided to make a quick getaway before the traffic got bad.. Got home and the grey cloud disappeared leaving a lovely blue sky sunny day - typical!

Apparently you guys "overstayed your welcome"! ... as the FA lot were trying to have their Trick Party Workshop and you nabbed their arena...

Maybe that's why the third arena at Bristol is now allocated to the duallies... ;)

"Sport kite arena" normally used by the likes of STACK UK, Fractured Axel, etc. for 2 line / trick flying and sometimes they have competitions in there. Good luck trying to get use of it. Maybe you should email Avril and ask what the constraints are on that arena, who knows she might allocate a specific time for you guys to use it for a mega fly.

Meanwhile, The Flying Squad will be off enjoying the Dublin kite festival, have fun without us!

Hi All, know a few are on there way today, see you bright an breezy tommorrow AM.

It's not so much of a problem for us.. get in.. test the wind.. fly one routine.. get out.. 15 minutes over with :-)

But a Rok fight - only 15 minutes to organise, start, compete, finish & get everyone untangled and out of the arena?...

Big soft kites display - only 15 minutes to get them in, up, flying, down, and out of the arena...

Certain of the dual line displays usually go on longer than 15 minutes .. hmmm

Rather hopeful I feel!

Blimey.. 15 minute slots ... could be challenging for all teams / groups involved!

Ah well, we shall enjoy... see you guys down there!

Largest navy port in the UK closes pubs early. Um surely not! I think you will find all the night life you could hope for in the old town - the cathedral, lock-ins, houses with pretty coloured lights in the windows....

Tell that to Langtry's / The White Horse, whatever it is called... this one...

What a great review
