"West Delta Park", next to the Portland International Raceway... My #1 place to fly in the Portland area.

MAX line (rail) is nearby, also goes to/from the airport.

Restaurants and hotels on the other side of I-5, roughly 5 minute walk from the flying field.

If you're coming through the area, contact Theresa at The Kite Shoppe...

She usually knows when other fliers will be out there, or can put you in touch with some (myself included).

I stopped there once, but there were dogs all over the place. What do you about them?

Dogs are typically only on the north side of the road, they don't come over to the kite side very often.

man im moveing to portland ..

In Mission Bay Park where we fly, dogs aren't allowed nor is smoking or alchol.
I think we all like the dog part, but Ben doesn't like the no smoking part and I don't like the no beer part.
However, it is not seriously policed.

The beer thing is new in San Diego public parks and beaches as of I think last month. It is suppose to go as a trial for one year. Seems there was a bunch of people who got carried away with there drinking once too often, so everyone suffers. S..t happens!

Theresa, Jim and Lynn should be here soon.

Should be here a while.

Lynn and I had a very nice afternoon at Delta Park. Got to fly some, good talk and a tour of Theresa's Kite Shop.

We're now in Seaside. Had a great fly for about two hours on the beach. We will probably fly at Sunset Beach tomorrow afternoon. On Monday we'll head to Long Beach WA for two weeks of flying. That should hold us until Labor Day Weekend at Crescent City with the Rogue Valley Windchasers.

Just got back, saw Geezer, Dave Bradley (glider) and another fellow out there today...
