Spread the word, let's make it a clinic to remember! ;)

Forgot to add Simon, that makes 10.

Hi John,

I have marked the list that I am maintaining with iQuad being at Portsmouth on the Monday.

Are you OK with doing the press call on Thursday at Bristol which I think is in the afternoon?

I have 'pencilled in' Friday as a warm up day and wondered if your plans concur with this?

Best wishes

Felix

,,,as opposed to being simply shot on site...! Remember the tank man....

I remember only too well. That's why I thought it may be a bit cool - world peace, harmony and all that...

I'm not clear on what a "press call" is, is that just a meet up with the teams, for press to come out and interact?

Friday for warm up, yes, I think it's necessary. ;)

The Press Call at Bristol is when the 'key invited fliers' set up to be photographed, filmed, interviewed etc. I have not actually attended one at Bristol. The media can then plug the event through Friday locally and potentially Nationally and Internationally!

Warm up on Friday sounds good to me too.

Some of the Decs have suggested that they would be available Tuesday and Wednesday as well but you may want to 'take a break'!

Best wishes

Felix

Tuesday might be a casual (unorganized) clinic day at Portsmouth... We're still trying to sort out where the team can stay on the nights of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

We have three nights without any scheduled activities or lodging between the two events.

Press day sounds okay to us, as long as we have somewhere to stay... That would take care of Thursday night.

Hi John,

I think that you will need to check directly with Bristol Festival regarding Thursday night.

Please let me know as we may have 'suggestions' as well.

Travel Lodge Hotels are reasonable. You can book a family room to sleep 3/4 at the moment for 29 but for certain nearer the time they may be available for 19. I booked sometime ago for Bristol. 2 night at Chippenham for 9 and one night at Severn View for 19.

If you make some special t-shirts for the 20th anniversary event, please don't forget to make some in XXS and XS size too and make them available in the UK. That would be so cool and maybe help with some funds (?)

I'm in and very much looking forward to it. I have to say, the agenda looks both reassuring and very professional. And of course Southsea (portsmouth) is so convenient for me - it is just a 5 minute ferry ride away!

It would be great for everyone to have an idea of whom is going - names to faces and all that. But of course John will probably be restricted in what he could post by way of a list, due to privacy and so on. So a suggestion: If people post here to say they are going then we will all have an idea in advance.

where's your sense of mystery ? :blushing:

seriously though, I am concerned about the privacy thing.

You want to introduce some kind of name tag on the day ?

Understand fully about the privacy Choccy: I had a friend who had a highly unpleasant experience with a virtual stalker a while back.

I guess the best thing is to leave it up to individuals if they choose to post in John's roll call. And of course they can post that they are coming with their user name, which would preserve their anonymity (at least until the day of the event when you get a much better idea that the person you are telling your name to is perfectly normal).

As to recognizing Baloo - I think the clue is in the name. He likes bananas, is large and hairy, wears coconuts on his chest and is often caught singing "Ooo-bee-doo, I want to be like you-beedoo-deedoo, I want to walk like you, talk like you, Ooo-bee-doo-bee-doo!"
