Hey-o, iQuad is figuring out how to raise funds for our trip to England and it came up...

Would anyone be interested in a Rev Clinic by out team, held for a couple of days (mid-week) between the Portsmouth and Bristol events?

I'd like to get an idea of possible attendance, and see if we could raise enough funds to make it worthwhile for all.

I can tell you, it'd be a very educational and laid back experience... We specialize in working with new and intermediate pilots.

We're probably looking at holding the clinic at Portsmouth, Monday and Tuesday following the event... Fee proposed at this time is £20 GBP.

To put this in context, we're seeing an average of $1,200 per team member for airfare to the UK, and we're bringing six.

That's $7,200 just to get iQuad over to the UK, so fund raising by way of the clinic would be a start in the right direction.

Dunno bout the Euro's crap ....its Pounds Sterling here ... we do get a good rate on Dollars at the moment though.
Location would be useful, hardening up accomodation and travel plans at the moment.

Even worse is the reverse bicycle turn moving in the same horizontal direction.
It was originally called the "Hadzicki Shuffle" or was it the "Moon walker".
Anyway the bicycle is one of the names and the reverse is the other name.

Well, we're shooting for about $30 US per person... That would save us the trouble of converting it.

I'm amending the original post to reflect those who think they would be able to attend.

Obviously, location and timing will be a factor for all.

Sounds good to me John. Earliest you can let us know location and dates the better.

Shame the days couldnt be tagged onto the start or end of either of the festivals.

Most folks could just extend thier stay then.

Would think the sites would be too busy though.

Of course being mid week will restrict the numbers due to work.

We have suggested to Iquad the Monday (August 25th) at Portsmouth - as it is a free flying day (and a Public Holiday) and the arena areas will still be up, we are waiting to hear back...

I'm thinking, if we do this, we might try to make it a 2-day affair...

Key thing is, we need to have enough participation to make it worthwhile, with at least 10 people or so, I think.

I am told I have a split personality if that helps get the numbers up.

And straight after Portsmouth, at Portsmouth, Monday Tuesday would work fine for me.

As long as it is OK with iQuad and the event organisers.

Would have to book another night's stay is all.

John, perhaps my previous post was a tad too cryptic but it was meant to include two more interested in taking part in the training day/s.

Hi John,

I had missed this thread and I think that you may have missed the indication that a number of the Decs were prepared to 'be available' between the events for whatever seemed appropriate.

We had been considering finding a site 'not far from Bristol' and camping/B and B'ing, again whatever was appropriate. Mind you, I might just have to decide whether I could cope with further tuition at this stage <grins> Might be able to help out is some way though!
