CALLING ALL FLORIDA REV FLYERS!!!

We have a few guys getting together this Sunday Around the Daytona Area..
Chef , Bob, Denny and myself for starters..

Which beach to fly? I think Smyrna is better for driving as far as you west coasters go. I don’t know the beaches in this area and once we get together we can always move up or down a bit but it would be good to be on the correct side of Ponce Inlet when we start. Although you can see across the inlet you have to drive out to US1 and back to get there. I think it takes at over half an hour. Anyone with more knowledge of the area jump in here.

We are heading out in the Morning and staying all Day..
Lets Exchange Cell Numbers and meet on the beach there.

I have not been there in years. But it's not a Huge beach from what I remember...

Boy Denny you said it Brother.. a GREAT DAY

We found each other Eventually.. Bob and I went to the Wrong Beach That I Picked.. Ha Ha
Oh we were only a half a Mile off. Chef was in the right place with no Cell Phone... Good Thing he was our age or he would not have known what a PAY Phone was.. And I was telling him to look around cause Denny was in the parking lot.. I was saying "No no Chef, Denny is there" and Chef was saying "Jay I am telling you, He is not here" But He was actually out side the Gate.. when we Arrived and walked to the parking Lot to Retrieve Chefs Truck and it was 4 cars wide and 10 cars accross.. I understood. Oh Man Too Funny...

with 20+ Winds we were deciding where to go and Denny Suggested we try a Spot a few streets down the Beach where we could drive on and set up.. Great! we caravand off...
When we arrived it seamed the wind was calming a bit so and with the tide heading out the Beach was larger as well.. Lets do It..

Vented kites with two leading edges and we were flying... As the Day went on our cadence grew and things began coming together.. We took out the Second leading edge and the Winds were calming ever more.. UP went the single lines and Denny said "Hey It's a Festival"

In the Afternoon the Beach was Huge. the Temp was nice and the Winds were Awesome... We Moved our little band of Revs to the Ocean and now we were really getting it together.. People were stopping and watching in their cars and Folks walking were gathering behind us... Too Bad the Sun was going twards the Horizon and we had to start packing up..

Thanks Guys and Cheryl for making this another Great Day of Flying.. Looking forward to Cheryl's Pictures and Videos. Well I think I am anyways.. We smiled and Laughed all day at our Triumps and Mistakes.. We shared Kiting along the Beach with Folks just out for a Sunday Drive on the shore line. I can't wait for the Next Time we get to do what we love once again...

Thanks Cheryl for taking the pics. It's nice to be able to go back an relive the day. It looks like the first pics of the beach are of the first beach I looked at too. I think we ended up at the best spot. I'm ready to go again.
