Hi all,

I am still very happy with my custom Rev 1.5 Standard/Vented. :blue-grin: :blue-grin:

Here just a picture of the (half)vented set-up.

The kite is a perfect mix between the Rev 1.5 standard and the Rev 1.5 vented because i can close the vented parts of the kite.
It is possible the close the whole vented area but allso only half the area.
So i can use the kite in allmost every windcondition. :blue_wink: :blue_wink:

It's not the size of your Rev.. its how you use it.
Seven days without flying a Rev makes one weak.

It looks a lot like the venting on a Blue Moon Vented Mantis :blue_wink: . Where did you get the idea?
Did Rev make it up or did you make it. I'm guessing it's not out of the Rev shop.
Looks great.

All the credits go to my teammate Ruud, the colorsetting was my own idea.

Allthough the velcro makes the kite a littlebit heavier still the greatest advantage is the multi-wind operationality

dude, that is so dope!, you mind if when i get around to making my own rev, i borrow your vent design? but i had a response to the added weight of the velcro, what if you put velcro on the front side at every corner using the wind to hold the covered vent in place :confused!:

The Velcro does make the REV a bit heavier as was the case with the first vented REV from 1993 that had six Velcro panels for all six vented panels.

"Corners held only" won't help much with slides or slack line efforts

I fly a half vent SUL, where I simply cut mini-vents into the sail.

A few of the locals in our club also do the velcro cover thingy. I've seen one guys' efforts with micro carbon rods holding it shut too. He just melted little holes into the sail to hold the micro rods into position. The inner vent cover panel goes on the front of the sail and the outer cover goes to the back of the sail. It's nice and light weight but too flexible if you are really slammin' the kite around.

I found the mini~vent to be the best compromise between weight gain and ability to diminish gusty conditions.

Don't forget Cervia! One of the longest and most relaxed kite festivals.
