Didnt realise Gary would be at Dunstable. But it IS next year the I will hopefully catch him!!

So I was right but just not as right as I thought I was.

Actually now I think about it I am often not as right as I think I am. Or at least that is what my Wife tells me.

i would love to be a member of a kite team like i quad .. the 2 problems for me would be the fact that works and family would limit travel time .. and the fact that i dont have much team flying experence.. other then the practice training i had at wildwood with the i quad boys last year

***** NEWS FLASH *****

It is with great pleasure that I can announce that Paul "Woody" Woodward has accepted our invitation to join The Flying Squad.

Paul is an accomplished pilot who has had great success in competition with his pairs partner Gary (another recent recruit). Paul has flown with us as a guest at several events recently and we are delighted that he is able to join the team.

I am sure you will join me in congratulating Paul on his "promotion" to the Team.

Regards
Stephen Hoath

The name is

The Flying Squad

Thats it. Done. Several reasons but it does what it says, prior to this we were a 4 person team, we wanted to reflect what we did, so preferably it would have quad in there. And someone came up with the name The Flying Squad.

BTW, grats to Woody (i've got a cat called Woody & one called Buzz)

Also, the constitution of the Flying Squad states:-

Annex 4a, Para 427sc - No one leaves The Flying Squad

Annex 4a, Para 427sb - Due recognition must always be given to the true creator who created The Flying Squad in 1996

- "you know who we mean!!"

Simon, I think if you look in Annex 4a, Para 427sb, Ammendment I, you will see it was 1998!!

In 1996, I think you will find that said creator was a little busy with a lesser known and somewhat smaller team! :-)

What an honour!
Congratulations Woody.

19 in the crew!... if you are all at Portsmouth together, I'll try and grab a group photograph if you like, Stephen.
I was going to say your website needs an update but you already did it :kid_smartass:

Regarding The Flying Squad, is that blue background image with the quad lines and TFS plain text on, your official logo ?
Groz and Choccy both think you need your own logo if you do not have one already.... just a thought.

Didn't you have t-shirts with a logo on one year ?

I guess you are too modest to 'throw' the logo around :innocent:

Best wishes and happy team flying

Hi Choccy,

A group photo would be great thanks, most if not all will be there, Rob Harris may not make it hes in New Zealand now!!

The blue with the lines is the "official" logo, we are always open to suggestions for updates

This is the shirts with Logo, one slight problem with these for me was they are not very breathable on the logo - it gets a bit warm.
So we moved to the Tech T's but these are proving less popular with some as we dont stand out on the field - sometimes its hard to find each other in the crowds!! At least in the cream shirts you couldn't miss us! Again, never wanting to stand still some of the team are looking at new colours and styles. Watch out at the festivals, to see where we go next.
