Hey, Ben,

Cape Fear was really a blast this year. I'm glad you could make it and hope to see more Revs next year.

Speaking of last year, Keith saw me flying a Rev and wanted to try it. After a few instructions, he took the handles and didn't want to give them back. His folks bought him an EXP on the way home and he was flying it at Cape Fear this year. He looks like he's enjoying it.

This Summer I started putting together a progressive stack from my Rev bag. I already had the Rev II and 1.5 in this picture as a beginning. Lolly made me a custom Rev I and this is the result. I added the tails for show. The kites are framed with 1/4" 4-wrap sticks.

I'm pleased with how well this stack flies in light winds.

One day I'll learn to properly organize pictures on my machines but, I suspect that will be about the same day I get off my butt and scan in the piles of "real photos" I have knocking around too. I have a bunch from teaching people at various WSIKFs over the years.

But, I did manage to cobble together a series, complete with a theme so I can get my mitts onto one of those shirts too....

I call this "the conversion of a dual line flyer"

A few years ago, I began teaching a mouse how to fly a rev... In the first picture, taken in Lincoln City, we can see that shes still holding onto an Obsession for dear life while I have two Rev 1s setup, one for me, and one for her.

Posted Image

The next picture was taken a year later, also in Lincoln City. As we can see in this picture, there is no dual line kite in site and she has a particularly happy grin on her face : (judging by the sun its too early to have had a drink, so, I'm going with the happy kite flyer idea)

Posted Image

She has grown to like Revs soooo much that she made a special one, which counts as my favorite rev of all time :

Posted Image

And if you are really lucky, one of your students can go on to take a national championship, even when dressed up as a man...

Posted Image

and, just to be good, I spent a bunch of time on the Drachen site today, and snapped a pic of one of their stickers thats in my house, this one being on one of my wee little computer speakers....

lol umm is she adopted? cause I was... who knows.

Monkey was the one that first taught my son to fly a rev. And even though it has taken him 3 years to come back to kiting, he loves it more then anything else.

I have to admit, I had way more revs in my bag (at least before all got stolen) then I did duels.... like 9 to 4 eek.
I am glad I stopped to do a lesson at WSKIF that day. just goes to show you that having someone giving lessons is a huge plus for business.. plus, I happened to meet the most awesome Monkey I have ever known.. sigh.

Too funny that she actually has a twin...

I am hardly a *stunner*. Is that like a stun gun? or the stun of the jellyfish??? hehe... I am having fun there is no doubt. It comes from knowing a family of kite fliers that are awesome people....

Bob, you were right. Even though it was -2 degrees and I am sure I saw a polar bear on the ice, Brian was wearing his new Rev T-shirt. It looked great even if his lips were turning blue.

You're making me learn how to upload pictures Ben!

This is from several summers ago, and Colin and his family joined us at the Wright Kite Festival this summer, and got another lesson from Ben! Unfortunately the wind was light!

We can't fly enough! After all day at a festival, more after supper :sign_kitelife:
