Just a question that probably has a real simple answer and im not seeing the woods for the trees.Which can happen.

I watched the dvd on the 2-4 Blast and noticed the verticals fit slightly diffrently than say a rev 1.5.I can see that on the Blast its more of a secure method ,or seems to be.
Is ther a reason why its not used on a 1.5.
Im ready to be kicked up the ... for missing the,under my nose answer ,so be GENTLE GUYS

Just going to stab at a guess: Maybe it's because a Blast is built to take more abuse than a 1.5?

I thought that Aerochic.Thers more sail presure because its faster.Why just do it to those though.Why not make it a std thing on all.Just me being a Train spotter[Geek]apolls if ya train spot.

Anyone a diffrent take on the down spars.

The only difference I have noticed between the two is that the Blast (and other speed series kites) have a greater angle than the 1.5's do. Because of this when the kite contacts the ground these verticals have more of a tendency to shoot out of the kite. By placing the kite under the bungee it helps keep these rods in place. The downside is that it causes a distortion in the sail at the wing tip points. The sail actually wraps around the spar more. I think this might cause a loss of control and precision if it was done on the 1.5 because the sail on the 1.5 is not nearly as stiff or "taught" as the Blast sail is. I think you would get bit wrap and wrinkles on the 1.5 if you wrapped the bungee around the down spar.

I never really seen any need to wrap the spar in the bungee on the 1.5 (or the Rev 1 or II) but if you wanted to it would be really easy to do.
