John, alas, I don't currently have the time to go through and set all that up... (sorry)

The tripod coloring book is something I've placed on web sites before, easily done once the files and settings are configured and zipped up for me.

John, it is straight forward. No setup as such needed.
Download and install normally Serif.
Download my files and open them individually.
Select a panel in the REV drawing. On the right side select the tab "Fill". The pull down might say "none", change it to "solid" click on the new panel color. It is that easy.
With Tripod you will have to create a REV design with panels. I have already done this for you for Serif.

Now if you want I could put the Serif Draw and the three sketches in one zip file. However, I don't know the legalities of doing this with Serif Draw or even Tripod. That is why I tell you were to download things legally.

If you want, I'll set up a downloadable section for all of this on my website. Then you could just put a link on the rev website.

I'm currently editing a new page on my website for these downloads. I will eventually also add a donload page for mouse cursers for each type of rev. I'm still working on a couple of those though.

I'm not keen on the "odd" stuff like gradients, etc for this type of thing... My application here, is for visitors to be able to create custom color schemes of existing Rev layouts, not as an entertainment tool. ;)

It is my understanding that the Serif tool is for LOCAL use, on your own computer... No need on my end, I'm already set up for all that.

As for legalities, per the Tripod colorizer site...

"This effect contains the code by Gokhan Dagli, used under a licence.

You can use the applet freely to enhance your web pages (commerical or non-commerical). However, I placed a status bar message that will appear when the applet is online on a site and regcode parameter isn't correct.

Registration Cost: 39USD (You can download and test it.)

Apparently what John B is driving at with Tripod is an implementation directly into a Web Site. In that case Serif would most likely NOT be reasonable solution, however Tripod would be a reasonable solution and easy to handle.

............ What? Are you saying that people should not use Serif Draw Plus for the reason of designing custom revs?

At any rate, I'm finished. The page on my web site is all set up for a rev colorizer download. http://www.theflying...hare.com/5.html

No, I'm not saying that Watty, I'm just committed to Fireworks, since that's what I'm familiar with and have used to draw up all my Rev graphics in the past. ;)

Watty,
John B needs a tool to use on-line for a Web Site.
Serif is not really designed for on-line, but for off-line standalone.
For off-line at home, you will obviously find that Serif would be more fun for you. I will be using Serif along with other tools such as Visio and Photoshop.
John, is that what you mean?

OHHHHHHH I gotcha!!!! I don't understand why you would use Adobe Firworks though. I hate that program. I could never get used to it. But I guess someone has to like it!!!

I just edited the downloads on my website. It looks a lot better now. :)

I haven't switched to the Adobe (CS3) Fireworks yet, still on the Macromedia release... But, I like it a lot.

The interface is simple, I can't understand Illustrator or Photoshop interfaces for the life of me, way too complicated.

More so, I live and die by Dreamweaver... So, Fireworks and the other programs in the suite interact quite nicely. ;)
