Any chance of a report for Kitelife?

I'd love to have it in the next day or two, but if not, we could always put it in the December 1st issue. ;)

Let me know!

We shoot for 1,000 words or more (easier than it sounds), with a dozen photos or so.

If it works out, just sent everything to webmaster {at} kitelife (dot) com

(fingers crossed) ;)

Great shots, Kelly! I was happy to see so much Rev action on the webcam! YAY!

Have to get my butt down to Ocean City someday, looks like an awesome place to fly (and have fun).

Thanks!!
We did have lots of REV's in the air. On friday we played REV games and it was so much fun. We timed how long it took each person to knock over four cones. It was a little hard for me , but I stuck with it and did it!! B)

John I should be able to get that done for you!! Thanks for asking!!!

The wife and I had such a great vacation week, spending time with dear friends & kites. We chased some spectators, gave a few lessons, played some REV games and flew some team-flying efforts. I wished it would never end, but alas I'm back in the office again today!

The Rev games played were to "Save Barbie, but not her tramp friend" and then "knock-over the safety cones"

Save her:
2 Barbie dolls were buried 50% deep in the sand. One fully undressed and the other sporting only a very brief lower torso wrapped skirt. You were to pick-up the clothed Barbie and fly her over to an inflated raft on the left side, timed on a stop-watch. If you dug out the naked Barbie (she's such a tramp!) you had to get the other one first, before heading for the life raft. The clothes were switched around and dolls partially buried, so it was some luck and some skill to win. We LAUGHED & HECKLED for so long I don't even know who conquered.

Knock-over:
four lite-weight safety cones were tied together to form a diamond shape about ten paces apart. You were to knock-over all 4 cones, the shortest amount of time wins. Nobody wanted to loan their quad equipment, so we used mine (that is a huge advantage for yours truly readers, since it's my tuning, lines, handles and kite being used by everyone else!) I had a Revolution SUL 1.5 with 2 mini-vents cut into the sail, a set of Race spars, my own replacement Bridle and training wheels/magix sticks on the back on the kite for rigidity. My 100 foot lines were 90# LPG with stock factory extended-length steel handles. The shortest time was Evelyn's,... she hooked the connector string and jerked the whole mess over in about 2-1/2 seconds! The longest times were actually quite embarrassing, several minutes in duration. I was declared the winner at 22 seconds, but Jeff King should have been the victor, because of my own kite advantages and no self-imposed handicap. My bride was angry beforehand anyway and we were late trying to get a bite of lunch when the gig actually started up.

The team-flying had a few spectators clapping and throwing money at us! The next day we were kicked down the field though, so other fliers could "be the show" in front of the kiteloft.

I hate that I missed going out to play in OC this year, looks like a good time was had by all. Had to work so I can pay bills, would have had more fun meeting new people on the field.
