We're now calling the "gang matrix" a "team matrix" instead, just sounded more appropriate.
Kind of like a full pinwheel (leading edge forward), except you exit to the edges after doing the team matrix.
I kinda like calling that move a "Mega Matrix". Looks awesome. Totally fills the sky.

The trick for me, is it's terribly easy to vocalize TEAM loudly and quickly...I kinda like calling that move a "Mega Matrix". Looks awesome. Totally fills the sky.
GANG or MEGA don't roll off my tongue as easily, or with as much vocal projection.

And everyone who has flown on the same beach as John knows he likes his "vocal projection"!

I love the smile...it's just great....
For a move that I think would look great...it's probably difficult, but you're the best, soooooo....
If you're in formation of one, two, three; a pyramid (I don't know what you call it) picture a swing where the pivot point, is number one, the top one. I think it would be cool to see you swing back and forth as you move up or down the window.
If you have enough people to make the shape of a Rev, it would be cool to see the shape fly...that might be asking a lot, especially a lot of highly skilled pilots
Sweet dreams, always...

I hear ya, it does sound tricky, like a swing boat at a funfair. If you're in formation of one, two, three; a pyramid (I don't know what you call it) picture a swing where the pivot point, is number one, the top one. I think it would be cool to see you swing back and forth as you move up or down the window.
The Flying Squad did the pyramid, then tip pivots up together, then back down again.
Not swinging side to side but still magic
yes the smile and other shapes are fun

iQuad has been discussing this idea for the past year or so... Would be awesome, but I figure you'd need 14 kites or so to get the right shape. If you have enough people to make the shape of a Rev, it would be cool to see the shape fly...that might be asking a lot, especially a lot of highly skilled pilots
Ok, take it a bit further, how cool if the middle rev was all white, like the middle panel, just having the Revolution logo on it....perhaps, just a vision... pretty cool, though...or is it just very late and I'm half a sleep....

Sweet dreams, always...
The speed control and abstract skills would be stellar!
Make the giant Rev do clockwork, fly in reverse, etc. <grin>

I think a quick axel followed by a flic flac and a final lazy susan to close the show would be the minimum acceptableMake the giant Rev do clockwork, fly in reverse, etc. <grin>

How long would it take to untangle 4 miles of line?
We could hold a sweep stake to raise funds for the event!
On that thought, who is going to be the first flier to crash and burn taking 30 other people with them? No Pressure!!!!
Is that my phone?

You are too cautious Stephen! Surely it is the ground crew's problem to resolve that little issue. Speaking as one of the ground crew for Bristol and Portsmouth, I happen to own the pefect tool for sorting out line tangles:

Here's another idea....what can I say, the wheels are always turning (or should I say, the Rev is always spinning
If you guys get into a square or any shape, all LE up, it would be cool to see the Revs move around the square without the square moving; doing it fast would be real cool. To take that a bit further, if you're set up in a square, for example, it would be cool if the entire square, holding the shape, moved in a square....
Or, how about going from one shape to another, perhaps with a smile between each shape ...

If you guys are in a sort of star; for lack of the proper term... (where your tips are all pointed in the center, as close as possible) and you slide or move vertically or whatever angle out to a given point, then slide/move back to the original position, rotate the star by shifting your position (clockwise or counterclockwise) and slide/move out again, I think that would look really cool and is quite doable, imhro. (humble rookie opinion

After a few months of flying, I now understand more about the transitions, etc.
If you guys are in a sort of star; for lack of the proper term... (humble rookie opinion) I don't think I've seen something like this, yet. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
With The Flying Squad, this is called as a pin wheel. (either left or right tips in)
Then the first version is a slide the rotation is given as either move 90 clock or anti clockwise or one place, two places etc. . Or what ever degree you want.
To add to this how about 6 kites 3 slide out, other 3 pinwheel, 1st 3 slide back in, 2nd 3 slide out... continue...

That would be cool to see alternating slides in and out. Has anyone done this where everyone slides out and then back (like a burst but sliding instead of LE out/away and back)?
