Hi,It's almost that time again! This is one kite festival you don't want to miss! Dennis and I had a blast last year! The sand on the beach is like snow and wide with LOTS of room to sky all of your kites!Please come fly with us at Cape Fear - Wrightsville beach Nov 3-4. Sat - Sun - 10-5 Show kites, sport / REV kite field with demo's, REV games. Dave and Susan Gomberg will be flying with us this year. Windfeather will be setting up a LARGE banner display.Come fly with the WACKO'S ! Land Rovers will be parked on the beach for us to anchor our kites to.Kids Kite making.Sat night banquet and auction. Last year Mike had some very cool kites in the auction!

Hi,
Just got off the phone with Mike and he would like to make sure everyone goes to the Cape Fear Web site and registers for the event. It's easy click on AKA flier registration and fill out the info. He needs to have a head count for rooms, dinner and shirts. If you have any questions feel free to e-mail Mike or check the web site. It's going to be a great weekend!!! This is one of only two festivals that are actually "local" for me!!! I couldn't make it last year but I hope to this year.

Hey there kiteflyers! The big event is right around the corner and I have asked all the powers that be for sunny skies and good wind. One of the things I can control and am happy to announce is that the banquet will be held at Front Street Brewery in a special room upstairs. There is plenty of room for us to set kites up for the auction and if we arrange the tables right, maybe even some indoor flying may be possible by some special guests. After weeks of negotiation (and special mention of them as a sponsor) I have been able to move them from $35 per person to $20 per person! (and that includes the room charge, tip, etc) for a buffet that will be a Southern splendor for everyone! There will also be a cash bar in the room itself. It is located right downtown with a parking deck adjacent.
I need a "head count" for tickets by 10/26 - please email me at earthworx@ec.rr.com by 10/26 to reserve your spot(s).

Just another reminder that the Cape Fear festival is coming up this weekend! We're going to be having lots of Revs up flying all weekend...along with lots of other kite flying too. At last count, I believe we have about 14 Octopi scheduled (including at least one OLO), a lot of dual-line flyers, LOTS of Rev flyers (including Ben!)...should be a great weekend! There's still room at the hotel (Shell Island Resort) and the weather is still looking good. PLUS - We get an extra hour of time this weekend (Daylight Savings Time ends Saturday night). Means more time to spend with friends, and/or do some night flying! Or fireworks..

Hope anyone who's been thinking about this but hasn't made a decision will make the right choice and come on down! Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
