Hey all I am new to the Kite World but have always been amazed when I am at the beach and see all the cool kites. I do special events for the City of Manassaspark in Northern VA, we are hosting our second annual kite festival and I want to pick a perfect month any ideas, best times? Thanks so much

Check out  AKA.KITE.com and check the calendar to see if anything would be conflicting in your area. Then plan for an open date. Just wait till the weather gets better up there.

Also on the AKA.KITE.ORG site do a search for the KITE EVENT ORGANIZERS MANUAL. it's a pdf file filled with all kinds of related info.
it's in Resources...Publications...Manuals

Give me a call or email thru the local kite club website W o w kite CLU B dot COM And I will try to assist you Springtime is tough, sometimes there are multiple events to choose from Basically the size of the "show" directly relates to the area available, sport kites like a roped off square 300 feet per side, indoor folks want at least a basketball court, huge inflatables have special needs, kite building with kids is best indoors We have some experience with planning, IF you have a decent site and community buy-in for support
