Hi all,

I have an older Rev II with a two piece leading edge. Looking at the newer frames available, it looks like those have a three piece LE? Is that the case? I ask because I'd like to take it with me on an upcoming trip to Spain and the LE I have a little long to fit inu suitcase ...

Thanks!

Yes, 3 piece frames are now the go. As for options, there are a few. 2, 3 and 4 wrap; Race Rods. I use the 2 wrap frame in my B2 (Rev 2 size, B series sail) Standard all the way to 20mph before switching to the 3 wrap. Happy travels.

Cool, thanks for the info! I thought I read that the B2 is a slightly different size then the Rev II ... Is that anything to be worried about when buying a frame?

Nope, it's just the cut of the sail that's different; all Rev 2 frames are interchangeable, as are all 1.5 frames (though using an SLE will require a particular style of end caps).

Nothing to worry about with the frame swaps as they are the same. For the Leading Edge I have the rod without the ferrule in the middle, with the outer rods "plugging into" that. That will make more sense when you see the new frame.

Just general things like bungee tension, bridle wear and such.
