Has anyone attached a GoPro camera to a Rev?

I think this has been done a number of times by a number of people and everyone has their own method.


I've never really liked the video that results beyond finding it simply interesting, but I did once attach one to my rev in "photo every 5 seconds" mode for someone who wanted some shots from up high. It wasn't planned so it was literally just taped on.


If you're going to do it, I would plan for a LOT of extra (relatively speaking) weight and setup accordingly. Attachment method I will leave to you, but you most likely want it on the front side of your sail and in the middle. You can put it to one side but your kite will be seriously unbalanced - if your skills and conditions can compensate then by all means have at it.

Yes,here is our video - 


We attached it using the adhesive pad BUT with a backup line attached to the kite spar which WAS needed ! 

I realise this is a powerkite not the Rev but you get the idea....have fun.
