First rev flight.

Remember the smile you had when you first took out your Rev? Still wearing mine! Only found out about "sport wings" 2 months ago by accident. Was looking for a cool stunt kite to fly at the park with the kids. A bit of Googling and watching JB on YouTube for the B2 release and I was hooked. My EXP arrived last Wednesday and took the kids (and the Rev) to the park Saturday and WOW! It wasn't the smoothest of flights but I loved every second of it. Even when I "landed" LE down, the people that gathered to watch thought I was pretty good when you spin over and fly up again. Can't wait for some more "park time". Already planning next purchase. Talk about addiction.

Welcome from another newby! My 1st flight was Sunday and I am still grinning and all I can think about is the next day I can fly! I also already have eyes on a second Rev, these kites are addicting! I just really started kiting in Aug with one HQ Symphony, by the end of Nov I had sold that and owned 4 power kites. Now I have 2 dual liners and the new Rev added to that!
Fair winds and clear skies!

As yourself and Iamrith begin your Rev careers, I have just celebrated my first anniversary of Rev flying!
One year ago, I had 4 kites, 2 power kites and 2 dualies. I was just looking for a way to fly any kind of wind condition when I came upon the Rev. I went to A Wind Of Change, and in total, personal disbelief I dropped over $300 on my first Rev. Had trouble justifying it to my wallet. At the time. I flew every day for 2 months straight after that day! I couldn't stop thinking about my Rev!
I almost wish I could go back in time, and experience it for the first time all over again
Flash-forward to now: I have 5 Revs, and I just received a call yesterday from Lolly announcing the arrival of the rest of my 'Pros!

Welcome John,
How did your maiden flight go?
Rob
Hi there SparkieRob, well there was a bit of an off and on wind and I was a bit nervous as there were family about and I hadnt flown anything for years let anlone a Rev, but it just all came back to me.
The love of Kiting, that spirit that only a kite flier can know.
I must admit to not having cracked how to hover properly yet or do anything fancy, but I didnt plough it into the ground and didnt break anything.
I was far more controlled and gentle than I expected and am starting to get the hang of the idea that much of the control of the kite is in the wrists and not by pulling with the arms.
I live next to a farm and I am going to ask the farmer if I can borrow one of his fields so I can do regular practice.
Cant wait to get flying again.

It's definitely a journey. Glad you had a great time.
Rob
The journey continues, my partner wants a rev now and we have just asked our landlord, who is a farmer and I now have use of a field fifty yards from my house to practise in...

To any new pilot, don't be afraid to ask a question, we were all there once.
To any seasoned pilot, chip in as it all does help.

Congrats on the First Anniversary Rob. Has it been a great year?
Well you are not a Lone Flyer now...
And Congrats on the Second Anniversary SkyPuppet. How much have things changed?
Ive been at it for about 6 weeks. Been going pretty well though, I really am pushing to get air time.
I wake up 3 hours early on weekdays to get a fly before work.
I know the weather will start to turn dificult for flying so I have to get in now.
B Series Standard, Mid-Vent and Vented In a Hard Case.
Supersonic and 1.5 Ghost SUL too
