Hi all,

I will be heading for the week weather dependent to Berck :kid_content:
Taking the motor home over and bikes for local transport.

Have only been a Rev pilot for one year but learning fast.

Can't wait to see all the kites again.

Is there anyone else planning to be there I would love to meet just one other Rev person.
It gets a bit lonely up here in Scotland all on my own.

Is there any other uk based meetings planned this year?

Regards
Poor Terry no mates!

Hi Terry,

The Decs should be at Berck 13-16th April. Just finalising arrangements...

Weymouth and Portsmouth are definitely on the agenda, the dates have not been confirmed for Margate.

No Sunderland/Washington this year I suspect.

Regards

Felix

Team AIR-4-CE will be @ Berck too.

We are confirmed for Weymouth.

And great chance we will attend Portsmouth and Margate.

See you !!!!!

Marc/Madquad
It's not the size of your Rev.. its how you use it.
Seven days without flying a Rev makes one weak.

Hi Vince,

I have just received the following message...

Best wishes

Felix

Information to kitefliers

Sunderland City Council have confirmed that there will be no kite festival in Sunderland this year. Here's what they said....

"The calendar of events has changed this year with older events are being refreshed and new events being developed. I appreciate your need to respond to the kite fliers' queries. Basically, all events are being reviewed and the Kite Festival, as it was, will no longer go ahead."

The council are planning to hold an event called the Sunderland Festival in June - with the focus on the 2012 Olympics this year. There'll be a one day event on Herrington park on June 16th when the Olympic torch comes through the city, but there are no kites planned for this event.

My thoughts....
"It's a sad thing that the festival has finished after so many successful years, despite a couple of washout cancellations. Last year's reduced funding and reduced event sounded the alarm and it has not been a surprise to hear that there will not be a kite festival in Sunderland in 2012. I hope that people who have attended over the years will remember the event fondly, from its beginnings with strong Japanese links; through its heyday with Malcolm Goodman at the kite helm bringing in a wide range of international and UK fliers, and even the latter years when we were plagued with name changes and with rain, but we carried on in the spirit of friendship. I, for one, am left with a sense of regret that this era is over for Sunderland but I feel sure that kites will keep flying, that local groups will keep going, that kitefliers will continue to share their skills and interests around the world... and that, given time, it will all happen again in Sunderland."

Pauline

hope to see you all on a kite field somewhere sometime soon.

Bolau this year, does not attend Berck, we're going to Las Vegas, "VIVA LAS VEGAS".
We married Teresa and me.
We fly and we will run in the World Championship in Ivanpah Blokart and fly.
There will be more years in Berck.

Felix

We had some great flying from Thursday onwards until the end of the event on Monday.

Here is a link to Russian TV http://www.1tv.ru/news/other/204621 where they show a very short clip at about 48 seconds in
