New Years at Home
Posted 30 December 2011 - 05:27 PM
competition over Mission Bay Park where the S.D. kite club meets then the New Years day fly at Mariners Point, and
I must admit its really good to be home for the holidays rather than the road..... The last month and a half has really
been Ben time because I've needed to heal..... As most of you know I do give this sport and this way of life my all and
this way of life has made me pay some heavy prices health wise and unless you have traveled with me as iQuad has
you may not know that each step I take the bones in my left foot grind together and I live in terrible pain. So for Ben
2012 is a year of getting my heath back in order, I plan on eating better, smoking less , and letting both my body and
soul heal a bit rather than pushing myself to exhaustion because at the end of the year I entertained the thought of
leaving the road. So what I did was invited some good friends to come stay with me for a few days (Phil and Annie,
Monks, J.B.) then I just talked to them and then went to Hawaii alone to think and figure out what to do. So what
I came up with is "hell no I'm not done yet" but Ive also got to take better care of myself and being that we are all
in this together I thought Id share this all with you because you all out there are my Family and need to know. So
thank you all for a "GREAT 2011" and lets get the "Party Started" cause 2012 is going to be even better.... Ben

Sounds like a really good plan, Ben. You need to get yourself as healthy as you can so you can play for many more years.
Instead with your heart... Listen to your body for a change!
Do what's BEST for YOU!

Stay healthy Ben and keep taking good care of yourself.
I was in San Diego today and I went to the New Years Kite fly. It was sunny, but the fog rolled in and out quite often. The weather was in general quite nice from about noon until 15:30(3:30PM), then the wind shut off like a light switch. Joe and David Hadzicki and some of their kids showed up along with Joe's wife. It was great to see Jim and Lynn Foster, Carol and Cass Pittman, Tom and quite few other again after such long time.

you know San Diego in for sure a huge Rev town and when San Diego Kite Club comes out your sure to see
more than a few Revs but with that said you really never know who you'll see here..... So even with the fog
rolling in and out I'd have to say me and Dr. Moody had fun and so did the rest of the "Family".... Ben
