I like Carl's 'visual sensibility' with the overlapping arrangement and I referred to the Artist Josef Albers in my Blog post.* Albers made glass constructions before moving on to the oil on masonite paintings.

Stained glass windows come to mind. Ben did visit Westminster Abbey when he was in town last. <grins>
