Getting pretty jazzed about my 1st Rev clinic.
Anyone doing anything Fri evening, everyone meet at a certain spot pre event? I will likely not be pulling in until later in the evening, but figured I would ask...

The sun came out, the wind died down to mid- to upper-teens, and I hit the beach this afternoon. Temperature a balmy (relatively) 50F or so. Great smooth SSW winds. Perfect vented flying.
I hope this bodes well for Fri and Sun. For Sat, you may want to bring your car door to fly.
To bad about Lost Roo - great food and atmosphere. I guess I'm glad they are busy, tho - too many restaurants with good intentions and good food have been floundering in this economy.
See yah soon.
No, this is my first childhood!

WCRC is definitely well worth the time and investment. Anyone that has not attended one yet, DO SO as soon as possible you will not regret the investement!
I had to leave a bit earlier than I had planned today, just as the wind came up and everyone shifted to vent's. I hope the weather held up and I took all the nastiness with me. I had snow most of the way out of longbeach until I hit town, hopefully I took one for the team and you guys had a good afternoon.
The sense of family in the Rev community is simply amazing. It was interesting to whatch everyone gathering into small groups, getting to know each other, sharing tips. Many an impropmtu group flights as one becomes two which draws the attention of 2 more. Other kiters spread out, We pack up and rock on!
Thanks to everyone for welcoming a complete newbie and making me feel at home. I know I learned allot and can't wait till the next time we fly together!

Almost forgot our informal indoor get together!! We were honored to have Steven from South Africa attend, along with JB, Watty, Steven, Theresa (Thanks for helping me with the loose ferrule), Carl and his friend Carl, and myself!! Would have loved to have more, but it was Monday, work and life call!! Anyway those of us there had a great time and learned much!! Thanks go out to the owner and manager of the soccer field, they really have a commitment to giving back to the community!! And I personally would like to thank them for providing me with a great place to fly, extending my flying season!!
Had so much fun, can't wait for more!!!

I highly recommend the clinic for flyers who want to learn new skills, improve or correct existing skills and have lots of team flying opportunities. Do we really have to wait a whole year?

Sunset Beach (near Seaside) or Long Beach again?
I'm fond of Long Beach, myself.
==
More than likely, it'd just be Spence, TK and I instructing so we're looking at a more casual format.
No curriculum, just 2 days of flying, one-on-one coaching, pairs/team practice, etc, open to all skill levels!
==
No effect on the "hard core" team clinic in July, that's in the works too.

Probably Long Beach again, we have the most leeway on that beach.

1. I'm just waiting to confirm with Watty that he's available for April 14-15, if he's alright, that'll be the date... I'll confirm tonight.
2. ALL AGES are most welcome... Matter of fact, youth 15 years or younger will just be $10 more with a registered parent or guardian.
I'm anxious to get this squared away, so stay tuned for news soon.

With this in mind, I think we'll be favoring Long Beach - just less chance of complication.
