Hi, my friend and I are trying to find some place to fly near Valley Forge, PA. One of the problems with the park is that the winds are so variable - lots of hills and dales and trees. If you know of any place withing a 50 mile radius of Valley Forge, we would surely love to hear about it.
Anybody fly near Valley Forge, PA

Hi Ursula,
Valley Forge Park was once a decent spot when all the fields were mowed. Now, not so much. I live within 10 miles of the park, and the 2 local sites I have used is Belmont Plateau in Phily and Heebner Park in Worcester. I was out a Heebner Park this afternooon for a short session. It is not a great site as the winds swirl and gust, but it is very close to my home. For good winds, you can't beat the NJ shore. Frequent gatherings at Liberty Park in Jersey City are a good opportunity to fly with others, and Belmar Beach also works out of the summer season. Wildwood is also an excellent location for kites.
