I (briefly) flew my 1.5 SLE in wind more gusty than I realized.  Can I replace the "Ultralight" gold label vertical spar I snapped with an "Ultralight" silver label spare from my 1.5 B?  There is about 1/8 inch length difference which is probably insiginificant aerodynamically.  The gusts were so bad I ended up flying my full mesh, and I kick myself in retrospect.  Thanks in advance, John

Yes you can.

The only difference in the old Gold label and the new silver is the color. Although there should not be a difference in length in the 1.5 series rods.

At the time when the rod labels changed from gold to silver, they were in fact identical rods, just different labels.

Now going back around 1998 there was a change in how the rods were made. However, these are even interchangeable.

Going back even further around 1991 there was a change from outer to inner ferrule. These rods sometimes have problems fitting together with the other type of rods.

Completely interchangeable. No difference in the rods and the length should be identical. The small difference you have shouldn't matter at all on the flight characteristics.
