Well another Lincoln City has came and went and it was fun as always, and this year they included a
new event "swim with your kite" cause the high tide was REAL high and I even got to see one of
J.B.s kites get a bath and a spine adjustment Posted Image...... As always Lincoln City is just a fun place and then
add all the "Family" members and you have one heck of an event, thanks everyone for all you do, and
a special thanks to Amy for bring out her custom lady's..... BenPosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Well today started out cloudy, but no rain. Then the tide kept coming in and didn't stop. So much so that the field was almost gone. A few of us were on the north side of the D River when a BIG sneaker wave came up and over the beach. It swept away a small boy, girl and their mother. Myself, Brett Howard, Jerry, Larry and Kevin, sorry if I missed any others that went in the water, went in and pulled them out of harms way. The kite family saved the day. The only real casualty was my Iphone :kid_cussing:which can be replaced, But the 2 kids and Mom are safe :)

The Festival must go on so i-Quad & Island Quad found an Island or so they thought.

What a GREAT weekend.. Ben, Thank you , without your support it wouldn't have happened. I do believe that Island Quad is truly an Island team now lol.. We almost lost Terry and Jeremy though.. A bit scary there ...
True thanks go out to all that really did save the day .. The woman and her two children were truly in trouble and we are so thankful all are ok , including the people that went straight in to help them. A bit shaken up I am sure.. and I know the adrenalin was pumping.. Connor was diving to grab JB's kite as it was being washed away, and I know Brett's kite took a real bath as well.. but despite the repeated sneaker waves, the day was great, and there were a lot of fliers that were good about warning unaware spectators.. Thank you all.
Maggie and the Lincoln City Crew, Thanks again for a fantastic weekend. Still has to be top on my list of places to go to fly.
A bit of a nerve wracking drive home.. with a very close encounter with a deer at 50 mph on the pass, and a couple of drivers that decided to pass with oncoming traffic close.. I then realized it was a full moon.. and thought, ok no wonder we had all the weird sneaker waves, and now I know why all of you were saying as we left *Watch out for the crazies on the way home* ..
Home safely now.. missing you all.. Hope you all have safe trips home..

Indeed, a big THANKS to those that jumped in and helped those folks!! Posted Image Had a great time, even if there was almost no beach on Sunday!! Those that did fly, gave each other room in those very cramped conditions! Lots of fun no matter what!!!!! Posted Image
Amy: Thanks for letting me display one of your "lady" kites!!Posted Image

Showed up late Sunday, Got tired of hearing how great Saturday was. Brett brought me a kite that I flew for a short time, then I passed the handles to a young boy. His mom and dad were giving up on trying to fly their kite... he flew for 20 min (until the wind died). Drove home in the fog/drizzle no problem

Good to see everybody...Wyatt.. where were you?

Still had a (short) great time... cant wait for the next festival
