Likewise Daz, sorry to hear you won't be northward bound ...was very much looking forward to hearing about the 'experience' ...there'll be other opportunities in the near future no doubt.

Otherwise hope everything is OK.

I'm also sorry that Daz will not be able to join us but I am encouraged by the weather forecast which now suggests sunny conditions with light breezes... Not rain...

We'll have a couple of Zens and some spar sets for Rev 1s so hopefully we will be able to take advantage of the conditions.

We had some very blue skies, especially Sunday, and light breezes through the weekend.

Some very successful flying as well, especially the 'small grid'.

I have been sent the following text which confirms that the event is going ahead:-

<snip>

The Decs have attended this event 'most' years since the team was formed so I hope that we will find a way to get there again this year.

Felix

OK 'most' was a bit of an overstatement, 12 since 1989!

As Sunderland did not want to call the event a 'Kite Festival' this year I suspect this weekend's event may be the last in the series.

Really?! would be a very sad day to see that happen ....Blackheath (year out) and now Sunderland Posted Image ....I had a great time at both last year.

I've been doing my damnedest looking for any coverage, photos and particularly video from the event but strangely the only thing I've seen, as yet, is the above from kitey (look forward to seeing the rest of your photos) ....am thinking maybe they're on the other side of the wall we call 'facebook'?!

Was kinda surprised not see this thread abuzz after the weekends fun... were there many other Rev flyers there!?

Just Fusion and us and Baz! May be I missed a couple of others?

We had 'fun' but it was sad to be at a 'not a kite festival'!
