Jim Foster invited everyone he met to come see the kite flying this weekend. He promised everyone that JB would be here this week end to teach them to fly.

I did invite everyone I met to come see the kite flying this weekend.

It was Jeepster who promised everyone that JB would be here this week end to teach them to fly. Right Jeepster? :P

Hehehe! Rich just HAS to get out early when he arrives so that we can get photographic evidence!

Found this photo in my files from last year. Wish I knew who to credit, but I think it speaks volumes about Dave Shenkman and The Kite Connection! Hee!

Hey,

Be careful out there with the incoming tsunami! Please keep informed about the safety warnings and stay off the beach if the authorities feel it is unsafe. I want my Rev gang intact for MIKE!

Otherwise, have a great time on the west coast.

I heard the beaches along the coast will be closed today, hopefully it will be short lived.

Good info on the Tsunami at:

http://www.wundergro...l?entrynum=1761

Hope you are all well, and stay back from the water this morning. Remember, by the time it gets to the west coast, the first wave may not be the biggest. Don't go down to the beach to look right after the first wave(s).

I know we have a lot of West-Coasters in the Forum, so be careful, and stay safe.

So does this mean there us not going to be anyone flying on the beach today?

Latest info predicted 2-3 feet at Huntington. If anything is closed around there, it's probably an abundance of caution. But it's scary stuff, so I don't blame anyone. Watching the footage from Japan is horrifying. :(

Yep, the beaches, piers and harbors are closed ... the boats are there, but the people were evacuated. The first of the tsunami waves are expected at about 8:45am local time ... now. They're only supposed to be about 2 ft high. The ocean side of Pacific Coast Highway has quite a group of people watching the ocean right now.

You should have seen the surfers lined up on the Pacific Coast Highway looking out at the good waves that are there this morning ... and all they could do is look before they had to go to work ... so sad.

Cheers,
Tom

Plenty of weekend left, the main force of it is headed towards South America. Everyone just needs to wait it out I guess.
