Following on from the discussions for the 2011 event I think that it would be good to try to set up a list of fliers who would be prepared to make the effort to attend a Mega Fly Attempt at Berck or any other venue (Uchinada?) in the future.

Maybe someone has access to facilities that could make a list 'easy' to administer. I do not but I guess a 'Facebook' event could work.

I think that I will set up a list of names based on the teams and individual fliers who have registered interest so far. I'll put it in a 'spreadsheet' or whatever so it can be used later...

I would think that as 2012 is a world cup year in Berck I can not see Gerard being able to help ? it's bad enough this year and it's not a world cup year ?

That is what I thought but it does not mean that we should not prepare to open a dialogue, even if primarily, amongst ourselves, aimed at whatever venue 'might' be able to present the project. Last September when I suggested Berck 2011 there was very little response here and by the time Gerard came back wanting to go ahead it was effectively 'too late' for fliers to make arrangements.

If there is actual interest in pursuing a 'very large' mega team I would be prepared to put some effort into helping, (in so far as I can) make it happen. If there is no real interest it simply will not happen <grins>

As a fall back, as it were, I think that the 'Super' Sixteen format could be a useful way to focus attention on the larger team format rather than attempting to accommodate whatever number of fliers happen to turn up on the day...

It may not be Berck 2012 but I think that it will be good to know who is interested. We know that where ever such an event is organised there will be logistical hurdles...

Hi Felix-

Glad all is well. I'm doing OK, all things considered. I think....too!!! lol

I'm sure as a date and place is an absolute, it will all come together. Of course, I do understand that it would be helpful to know that there will be the turnout necessary to make it all happen to justify the commitment from the organizers.

See how it goes; I'll be watching the progression.
