Aloha John...and all
Thinking about all the Revs around the wold, how about having a designated Rev kite fly day?
Set a day for each country or the world to fly revs. Or at least set up one's Rev. and take a picture if not possible to fly etc. Don't know if a "world" fly day would work or not, it would be pretty cool though to have everyone who has a Rev. on the forum and all to fly their Rev. on one specific day and document it with a picture etc.
Could be something like a day in the world of Rev. kites.
If possible, take pictures of the flying and upload the pictures to a designated website.
All sorts of happenings could come from that, besides a lot o smiles, fun and joy.
Rev. world fly calendar for one, or by country calendars etc.
Media being informed around the world where some flying is happening.....could be a good thing for sales and advertisement for Rev, the kiting world, businesses and participants.
Instead of the expenses, time and transportation etc. for a large kite fly, each person could fly on the designated day where they choose to, group or no group etc.
Gloria Stewart, the late Titanic actress, had a wonderful display of her kite works at the 2010 Nationals in one room. One poster that was on display in the room had a quote she wrote that I think might be appropriate for this. My wife and I really liked it.
"To fly a kite is to love the sky"
Rev's first annual world Kite flying day.
Sounds like fun. What would be cool is to make a picture / poster of several Rev. kites using all the photos from the flying day.
Keep on dreaming and chasing rainbows
