Hi !

I bought myself in France a rev barresi vented and I want to fly it in 40 mp/h and my question is what line weight do you think I have to buy to handle that wind ?

I've flown a full-vent B-series in 30-40 (not a sustained 40, but some of the gusts were certainly over...) with a double 3 and 4 wrap leading edge and four wrap verticals on 90# LPG with no issues. Switching to 150# would slow down the kite a bit, and give you more of a safety margin against line breakage, but I wouldn't consider it essential.

actually I got 110 lbs Climax, so everyone think it can be ok in the top end of the barresi full vented wind range ?

I would agree with J, your lines should be fine. as long as they are in good condition of course. And note I said SHOLD be fine. Can never be 100% sure

However if they "sing" a lot in the wind might be worth going for stronger ones.

I find you can use the 90 lbs line ... but I really like using 150 lbs the thicker line slows the kite down and makes it really enjoyable to fly... Putting the two leading edges in I find makes the LE very stiff.... that is why im really excited that the xtra-vent is here and ready!! What is really nice with the xtra-vent you can go back to 90 lbs line if you would like and then you willl not have to use the two LEs anymore... SO NIce !!

Yep the XTRA vent will be out in the next couple of weeks.
Saving the name Super or mega if we feel we need another one for high wind above this. Unlikely but you have to leave options open LOL.
Got the kite in peoples hands this week in some big winds.
35mph at one point.
The B series Pro descriptor from the flyers was ..."wow"
The XTRA vent is ......"oh my god"

It handles just like a B Series.
Awesome reverse too! Just plough straight at the ground and hit hard reverse and you will be back at the top of the window with ease.
Three wrap frame 90lb lines.
When it gets to much for the Vented stick this on.

Yes you can have you custom colours. Because of layup you may have to make a few compromises but thats just the way it is.
We can work it out.
